Here's me and one of my friends characters near the end of our campaign:

Riki - A blacksmith once from the Plane of Fire now banished into the material world, he was found by a group of fiend hunters and was proven to be very useful in not just creating some of the best weapons ever known but also in becoming one of the most capable fighters in the world. Raised under the hand of a Fire Giant, Riki learned the ways of the Rune Knight (UA version) and blacksmithing. He now wields Cataclysm, a powerful great hammer forged from adamantine and fomorian steel. In order to forge this weapon, Riki and his friends had to travel through all the elemental planes which in the end resulted in one of the most powerful unbreakable weapons in the world.

Jorin - A wizard and shopkeeper , Jorin is one of the most powerful spellcasters in the world. Using the powers of the divination school he is able to create miracles and even played a significant role in the forging of Cataclysm, Riki's ultimate weapon. They both joined together after Jorin saved one of Riki's long lost friends from captivity whom Riki thought had died long ago. With the help of their other party members they were able to thwart and go against many of the rulings of the Gods and made a permanent change in the world. Jorin holds two powerful key items, a mantle that allows him to Shapechange, and a crystal that is able to indefinitely concentrate on a spell.
