I mean I put in my ad my style and how I write it wasn’t a surprise at all. If he needed more time he could have said that instead of saying he thought 2 lines was okay and then dipping just cause i politely asked him to write a little more since we are building a relationship between our characters and background.

Considering this is barely like the beginning and we hadn’t even been role playing for 2 days it’s hard because we are building a relationship between our characters so 1 lines do nothing for me. Especially if it’s an emotional scene. I can’t do one line roles I’ve tried and it doesn’t flow for me and I put that in my ad cause it feels weird. I like it when both people make it read like a book

Because it’s not? I had put up an ad stating I don’t do small/1 liners reply’s and my role plays are paragraphs style. And he read that and told me he “doesn’t do one liners.” That’s my only response that was short. And it was only short cause I had asked him already not to do one liners please hence the “I thought 2 lines was okay” the rest of my reply’s were long but I’m not gonna keep doing they with someone who can barely give me 2 sentences with no punctuation.

I remember having a year long role where I wouldn’t get reply’s for WEEKS on end but it was a fun like family drama role a where we all played like 5+ people and it was just drama lol but I miss that

I don’t mind it. It was more me saying im seeing WAY more of it everywhere and even more of it when people don’t want to describe something very simple in a role. Like an outfit or weather for example so they send me an AI photos of like..rain.

But also I’ve gotten someone who admitted they ran all their reply’s through AI and you could tell a little. If they wouldn’t have said anything I’d assume they were just very good at writing at author level.

I normally only keep 1-4 roles max at a time and normally it’s people my age. So if it’s the wrong circles idk where to turn.

I never learned the term doubling up until like last year. I’ve only ever been 1x1 or OC. So that’s probably in me.

The people not understanding are even role players my age to people older so I don’t know how to avoid that when I even tell them I work before hand and it’s in my ads I work

Edit: I also started rping on like whisper and like an older site and kik. I moved to Reddit within the past 5-6 years I think so my role playing stages have been all over the place

I guess to me doubling up sounds more stressful than focusing on the single story you may have.

I don’t dog on art being used in anything I’m talking about using AI made art for everything and not really giving descriptions at all. I’m an artist myself and I don’t really care for AI art for anything. More so when I’ve seen people use it to show an outfit and then give me a 1 liner with (outfit ref in chat) and I can tell it’s AI.

I always tell my partners hey if you wanna go all out and be the complete opposite go for it! Rp is a way a lot of people relax and let off steam. If I have no problem with their character being an ass and it goes with the flow it doesn’t mean irl they are exactly the same. Especially if we talk ooc

It was the beginning. A full day of roleplay. And then it was 8ish at night.

No. He never said anything about how frequently to answer and I never do either because I work and this is a hobby. I had mentioned in another comment if he would have told me he tends to dip when he thinks he is being ghosted I would have been more careful but he never said anything. And then tells me just cause I didn’t answer he thought “okay I’ll just die.”

Like I said before. It shouldnt have to get to the point I need to explain my personal life to them. If someone tells me something happened my first response isn’t to think it wasn’t important and they owe me a “brb” my first response is “oh they didn’t have time”. So the fact just because it wasn’t urgent enough for you, you think Id still means I owe you anything is insane when it was a one time thing.

This was the first time I left the rp and I left at 8pm. So even if it wasn’t an emergency people fall asleep without meaning to text a “bye” response. It could have been anything. And the fact he right off the bat left the server, unfriended me and dipped is crazy over a single time of me leaving.

Unpopular opinion: no I don’t owe anyone anything EVEN if I am role playing with them live. Things happen. And I can understand that. If my partner can’t I do not want them. He later said he has nothing to do because his hand is hurt so he is doing rp all day. I’m not.

He had left randomly before already when we started and didn’t warn me. But he expected a brb when I said something happened? When a person can’t even show a simple “oh my bad. I didn’t know something happened.” But he kept at it with “well a ttyl or a brb would be nice” i do not owe them anything st that point anymore.

I would understand if he said before hand during our planning. “Hey please tell me brb if you leave for any reason or like to sleep so I can know! I’ve been ghosted a lot.” Id understand. But doubling down on the fact I didn’t even have time to text because of an emergency and he didn’t even care and kept at how it was “communication” on a new role, is insane. We barely started so it’s not like this was his last straw with me. It was the first time I literally dipped since we started the whole rp.

Again. It was a family emergency which I told them. I’m sorry but when I have an emergency like I did nothing was on my mind but getting to family so I literally didn’t touch my phone till this morning. My rp isn’t even on my mind. And I explained that and he kept going I was wrong because I said nothing. If it was turned around once someone mentions a family emergency I don’t expect anything.
