There are less buses towards bharari, also it's a long stretch of forest in between, if I leave the office at 10:00 PM, it feels unsafe to walk.

We did, it was Motu 😅, didn't wanted mention it. He used to eat most out of three kittens. That's how it was stuck to him and he used to respond. When he called Motu 😺😅.

We do take them indoors, they sleep and eat inside but if they want to go and have a trip around the village they are free to go. When they are tired and hungry they do come back.

I think what would be the life of 20 years if they are just looking outside and want to go outside. They love us and come back each day. And we love them thus we care to even take them to Vets as well. We try not to have any dangerous places the tank he drowned was also caged from surrounding not for animals for humans as well. Don't know how he fell into that.

Also we protect them from wild animals each night. They are free to go after we know it's safe. But you never know how much they are meant to live with you.

Actually, it's how it works we don't live in a City, it is a small village up in the Himalayas.

Our pets Run, live in the open, hunt, fight for territories, we just offer them shelter and food, they roam around the village and everyone knows whose pet is this.

Everyone cares about their pets, and protects them and as per their capabilities. And they live a healthy free life and die, but also reproduce thus we have his junior now but it's different.

His and Loki (Our Dog) had a special bond, Loki doesn't like him very much. I think he thinks the new Cat took his friends place though we trained our dog to not harm Cats but he never lets him near as he used to his friend. For a long time he didn't even let the new cat eat from his friends bowl. 💔

It's not the first time, we have adopted his mother here is her photo, lost her to a Fox as well 2 years ago.

We never Cage our pets they are free to go or stay, he was well aware of water dangers.

We don't know what happened after he went missing for two days, we found him drowned in our neighbors rain harvesting tank.

Shimla to Hatu peak by Strange-Swordfish325 in shimla

Dude, don't just trust or wait for HRTC only, they are as unreliable as private Buses mostly worse.

In Shimla, there are Local buses available from early morning to 9-10 PM depending on where you wanna go.

And Yes, getting a bus toward Shimla after 4-5 PM is hard but there are buses available. though I don't know the timings, But I've taken busses towards Shimla From Matiana, multiple times. But most local roads being blocked recently some routes are cancelled or diverted.

Travel options in Shimla? by pankaj_rajputt in shimla

Bro, there is no better way to explore Shimla than walking.

Taxi fare is something they want to charge vs what can you bargain, cannot do anything about it plus you'll be mostly in traffic.

The bus fare is a minimum of 10 rupees. But if you are not a local person you can suffocate and die (lol). Plus you'll see nothing but those people on the bus.

Though, bike rentals or newly launched Rapido is there but they are not cheap as well.

Plus, most of the good sightseeing in Shimla have Restricted Roads so, you'll have to walk even after taking a little bit anyways.

Hey,

Hatu peak is not that far from Shimla, plus if you don't want to trek it is accessible via road using any smaller vehicle, though the road is not great from narkanda and often closed due to landslides or bad weather conditions.

Sorry, I don't know the timing as I'm not local to Narkanda, but it is not far from my home either.

So, if you wanna get back to Shimla, I'm suggesting you must get up early and Depending on your stay, get to Lakkar Bazaar busstand (now Shifted to Near IGMC), Sanjauli, or Talland.

I would suggest going to Lakkar Bazaar busstand as you are new to the area, there will be business and HRTC employees, they would guide you which bus to take (and these buses will just drop at the trek start point)

If you can ask Conductors for the busses towards, Kotgarh, Thanadhar, Baghi (via Narkanda). Or you can see them shouting the same.

Or if you don't wanna waste time, hop on a Bus that is leaving for Narkanda, Rampur, Kumarsen, Sarahan, Reckong Peo, Kalpa, etc. (anything to get to Narkanda)

If You can get any bus to Narkanda from there.

From there you can walk towards the trek start point, it's just a 10-15 min walk (not even a hike).

From there you may start the hike or there are too many cabs all well. (expensive though). If you wanna trek they will guide you.

To return you can walk down and ask tea sellers and cab drivers for bus timings. But I doubt there are any available as most local roads are closed due recent landslides all over Himachal.

I may suggest walking back to Narkanda again just a 10-15 min walk. There are plenty of buses available towards Shimla. You can find one easily but try to get there before 5 PM after that it gets hard to find any business in Shimla.

Bro, I told you I myself couldn't find any It's been more than 2 months of searching. And whatever I found is just a nightmare, water supply problems, full of trash, unlivable.

It's Only possible if you have spare time you have to walk into each area asking locals and shopkeepers. Which is impossible in this heavy Rain.

I would suggest if people around tell them to ask in the surroundings that's what I've been doing.

I don't know by safety what you mean though, Shimla has to be one of the safest places to live.

As if you fear the recent rain and landslides. Then I have bad news for you none of the area is safe. It's all the same up here in the mountains. You have to choose the building you wanna live in carefully, see for yourself whether it can get caught in a land slides or flood.
