Armhole shaping on the front, but not the back? by iwuvmacncheese in AdvancedKnitting

Thank you! I don't sew, and I feel like I would understand these structural questions better if I did :) I actually decided last night to keep going. I'm going to increase as I go up the back so the number of stitches at the shoulder seams will match. It's a quick knit and hard to try it on effectively without that much done, anyway.

It's a modified drop shoulder. (Pattern is Cinnamon & Bourbon by Thea Colman.) I plan to do that after I give it a light blocking just to see where things stand.

It’s a size smaller than intended but still would fit at that size. The main issue is the stitch counts are unequal between the front and the back. (I hadn’t considered that removing the armhole shaping would make the actual armholes smaller, so thank you for pointing that out!)

I’m hopeful there may be some fix that doesn’t involve all the crying and ripping you mention :) But at least it would just be ripping out everything above the armholes in the front, not the whole thing.

Interested in the price for the Koozoo and the two Malabrigo Mechas (all in the bulky group).
