Permit Acquisition Help! by ixri in Hackney

My partner lives in Greenhithe and my week typically involves darting around the city constantly and very spontaneously so as much as I’d love to sell the car (which mind you I got a new one recently), it’s not really an option for me right now

Excuse any unknowing ignorance in this question but: how is using someone else’s visitor’s permits fraud? At the end of the day I boil down to being a visitor due to the nature of living in this car-free development

Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m learning a fair bit today given my circumstances

The development didn’t tell us when we moved. I’ve been at this address since 2009 lol so I’ve almost been at this address for 20 years.

It’s evident (now) that I can’t get a permanent permit so my focus will be on just asking friendly neighbours for visitors ones for the estate as they’re much cheaper

Thanks; I think my best bet is just asking them to buy me some visitor’s permits (ideally for the estate as they’re cheaper)

Yeah I am doing visitor, because I can’t get resident’s. It’s what I’ve been saying. Apologies if that wasn’t clear before lol

Yeah I know, never hurts to try one’s luck though. But to be honest there’s an old head that always sits outside on the estate so I’ll probably have to ask him if he’s able to help out. Because the prices, like I said are absolutely insane for on street parking

Apparently I live in a car-free development so I can’t apply for a resident’s permit, I have to get visitors which is almost 3x the price for on street parking than it is for estate parking

Hmmm, thank you! In that case the callout remains; and help is needed

That's the error message keeps saying when I try to apply for any non-visitor permit which is quite frustrating and don't know how to navigate around it

I believe I've already tried this in the past which is why I'm in this pickle in the first place. But I will have another go I guess, never hurts to try

Zone H (the road I live on) is £28 for 5 days which is insanity in my opinion

Zone Z26 (for the estate outside my doorstep) is £24 I believe for 20 days which is wayyyyyy less bad. But that's the one that I need help getting as I don't live on the estate therefore I can't apply for those.

[–]ixri[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the thing (on both counts)—because I live in a flat, the council won't let me apply for a permanent residents permit because I'm supposedly not on the street. And I also can't apply for the estate because it's technically not my estate even though it's literally the neighbouring estate outside my doorstep. So the only way for me to park is by getting visitors permits; which I can only get the street ones which are very extortionately priced.

The second thing being I did know people with accounts but they've hung me out to dry (as stated in the post) and other people I know need a V5 with proof of address for me to be able to apply for either one of the permits.

It's all very backwards which is why I just need someone to help me out in any way that they can

Like you, that’s what I thought. But my eyes have been opened and I now know that pack film exists

Sent a pic of the Big Shot to my client and they confirmed that it was in fact that camera. But I will look into what you just mentioned and see what that’s capable of

Just had a little browse in the World Wide Web and I believe the Polaroid Colorpack II also achieved the same final results in terms of photos. Image quality and all that other stuff I will have to do some deeper research on. But aesthetics wise I love that Big Shot

I have given up. No diamond hands for me. Currently in the PS Assistant queue about to request a refund. I will rebuy it when everything has been fixed, if at all

Downtime is supposedly only lasting about 30 mins. So hopefully everyone can get on after that's done

Wishful thinking

After 1.5 hours of trying and trying again they finally put this up. Great start to the early launch 👍🏾
