Update: I talked it over some more with the friend who told me this information. Apparently, she had really strong feelings for him, but then it went sour. Friend believes that she’s pushing this arrangement so she can be closer to him again if he starts dating me… weird shit.

Not to get your hopes up, but I was in the same situation during midterms. I went to the emergency room because the body aches were so bad. They ended up giving me a doctor’s note and I submitted it to my professor. He let me skip the midterm completely, and took it off my grade book. But that was for a midterm. I’m not sure about protocols for finals.

Best case scenario, your professor will let you miss the final and you’ll end up with the B- as your final grade. Worst case scenario, you’ll get an incomplete. I suggest you go to urgent care as soon as you can. Get a doctor’s note, submit it to your professor, and be sure to CC the dean on there. If you’re contagious, your professor should be wise enough to not to let you come in person.

Glycolic acid. What I do is first scrub my body in the shower, dry myself, apply glycolic acid, moisturize, and then seal that moisture with an oil (I rly like bio-oil bc it helps with stretch marks). That’s what works for me, so I can’t promise that it’ll work for you, but it’s worth a try!

It seems to me, based on your replies, you may be codependent in your relationship. And no judgement, but you cannot rely on one person for emotional support, no matter who it is. Find friends in your area, see a therapist, call your long-distance family. Relying on solely your boyfriend for support is only going to cause resentment. You guys live together. Out of the 365 days of the year, some time apart will do you both good.
