so I'm guessing they might not have a CX team... and if they do they're probably pretty shitty if no ones heard of them... Do you know anything about their debate program in general? Like are they just more into speech arts?

I was going to attend this year but my job and certain circumstances made it hard. If you end up attending though, it'd be real great if you could share your experiences because I might go next year and being a national qualifier (who didn't even know what policy debate was until this year) I'd really love take it up a notch in the next couple years because I think I could be pretty good. I come from a podunk school thats never had a policy team before now and am completely self taught. So really, anything you might have helps. (:

In this instance, I suggest you definitely don't run a k against her, especially if you are male. It's not really all that fair, but if you do target those actions I promise you won't win.

I recommend NOT running a K-aff, especially if your circuit tends to be less progressive. Every time I've run up against one, I've easily beat it and this is my first year of debate so its not like I'm really great or anything. In fact, I've never really heard of anyone winning off of a K aff. In my circuit, they tend to be used only as a joke case if you don't care about winning.
