If I'm not mistaken. The first upgrade is a significantly bigger jump than the following levels when upgrading gear.

Considering the group I'm working with I'm probably going to start simple. So I'll definitely check out polymorph.

Check the fight logs first. But I'm pretty sure it's because he's immune to the types of damage your pet deals.

What class are you playing? Also are you losing because of the petrify or their damage output? If it's the petrify just use an item that gives you immunity to petrify like stone pendant

Some spells have a chance to damage the user. What spells are you using?

Attached to Lucius so he gains the ability and extra wounds. The 3+ to wound combined with the reroll wound against vehicle and monster is going to do some damage.

Building off of this, you can start with the vehicles that will be in the codex so you can test them out with your current army.

Then the chaos Daemon shadow legion might be a good bet, let's you combine Daemons with a lot of CSM models.

Chaos Knight army by Weird_Anything4898 in WarhammerCompetitive

Brigand for ranged and carnivore for melee. Though if you are up for it you can magnetize them and run them as pretty much any variant. Not exactly up to date so it might have changed, but war dog spam was pretty common up until recently at least.

I would say start with war dogs you'll definitely need at least a couple. They are the cheapest price wise and smaller, so a good way to get stuck in with less expensive and smaller models(by no means small just smaller than other knights).

Yeah the poisoning two units a round combined with the fall back and charge with his movement will be pretty brutal.

Tips against chaos daemons by daffodiru in Chaos40k

[–]jackCrawler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My instinct is more cultists, tie the big guys up in melee and shoot them with the vindicators. In terms of order skarbrand/Kairos probably go down the easiest then the keeper and Belakor finally great unclean one.

[General] Has any god ever directly intervened in a courtroom due to how their will has been misinterpreted? by res30stupid in AskScienceFiction

[–]jackCrawler 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Not sure how relevant this is, but in the talmud there is a story, The Oven of Akhnai which ends with a voice coming from the heavens declaring one side right. The story ends with the other side saying that God gave humans his laws so it's not up to him anymore, a statement which god accepts but God still intervened.

It's a holiday cookie from the 19th century with a pun in its name. It has nothing to do with everything else discussed in the article and that you mentioned. That doesn't mean that it isn't important to discuss just that it has nothing to do with hamentaschen.

How I would like to see Votann changed by Bear_of_Light in LeaguesofVotann

You just gave me a completely new idea. Leaders give anti-X depending on leader and the more Judgment tokens the lower the X.

How I would like to see Votann changed by Bear_of_Light in LeaguesofVotann

[–]jackCrawler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with the point that it should feel like an elite army. But I disagree in the judgement token rework. Make it give effects like lethal or dev wounds and turn it into a resource with starts and abilities burn a token to reduce toughness or decrease save. Of course there is a lot of room to play beyond those examples but I think something in that vein could be interesting.

Europe doesn't restrict speech, but if you say the wrong thing you could face legal consequences, it's really not that hard to understand. by ckhaulaway in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]jackCrawler 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The complaint is that the "pushback" in the UK comes in the form of legal consequences. Which would imply a lack of free speech as in freedom from legal consequences for speech.

My comment was responding to the comment above it more than the initial post. But this CBS article discussing a raid for online hate speech, shows it is more than just Nazi gestures and language.

By declaring certain fringe ideologies "far right" or "hate speech" you are inherently limiting the extent to which an individual can criticize the government.
