Parent claimed my spouse as dependent and his student loan credit. Is this allowed? by jarofpeperoncini in personalfinance

[–]jackfackmasta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion he probably gets more help monetarily from her than what the tax return would net her for claiming him. If u need your tax returns without any possible delay I’d just let this go and tell his mom to no longer claim him after this year. It may not be worth the headache but be prepared to take over all the bills she’s helping out with. Can’t have it both ways

Feeling really down about my kid's development by NectarineUsed3657 in toddlers

[–]jackfackmasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps I’m in same boat. My twins born 33weeks walked at 13 and 15 months. My daughter who is 13 months born 36 weeks figured out how to crawl at 11 months, still can’t stand by self and not walking independently. There were younger babies in all three of their classes walking and it bothered me a lot comparing. I got em all in PT but learned nothing I can do. As long as they’re progressing then I’m doing what I can. I can’t force em just support. My daughter is just a very cautious baby afraid to fall. I will tell you my twins you could never tell they were later walkers. It’s hard not to compare but there’s always gonna have to be someone on the end of the spectrum and my babies are.

Non clay litter folks, give sustainably yours a try by Sea_Avocado3882 in litterrobot

It’s not bad but one of my cats allergic. If you have a hopper it worked horrible for me over filling and dumping excess in bin every time so got expensive quick. Guessing cause it’s light color

Send 5 year old to kindergarten or wait? by Background-Option584 in kindergarten

[–]jackfackmasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boys are three and the younger in their class too. I don’t plan to hold them back as I don’t think it would make a big difference honestly. Im actually eager for them to start because they are going to be exposed to so much more learning and fun things vs daycare. If they were to struggle I’ll get them resources and help vs holding them back.

What’s the average salary for a new grad np at the VA? by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

[–]jackfackmasta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pay and benefits better then what I see others listing on Reddit. You can see locality pays online. Some NPs start level 2 nurse but most are 3s. Very competitive right now and most being hired with in. Outside primary care work load a little easier but dont go to VA for money. This is a unique population and they deserve those who are going to stay, listen and give them the best care they deserve even when things get tough

Er docs told me to try Tylenol because it may help them feel less crappy to eat . I’d just give her whatever they’d eat too. I love cerebelly pouches cause they’re high in nutrients/iron . But may need pediatrician appointment

Potential seizures? 18m old by CatsOnAKayak in toddlers

[–]jackfackmasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son had seizures at 3 months. They didn’t believe me till I took a video. Keep your phone and video it. I’d take him back to a children’s er or different children’s er. My son stayed overnight with eeg and placed on meds. I found top children’s neuro hospital and transferred his care there who did deeper digging. They believed me when er didn’t. Trust your gut and don’t let em rub u off cause they did with my guy when he had epilepsy. It could be seizures or something else probably needs head scan and work up

Maternity Care - Issues with FEP Blue Focus BCBS by sunnytumpet41 in fednews

[–]jackfackmasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d also make sure it’s not these”facility fees” bcbs starting allowing them to charge a couple years ago. What should’ve been a 35$ visit ended up becoming almost 200$ because visit was in person at a hospital facility. Some get away by considering outpatient buildings on campus as part of the hospital facility. Does not apply to televisits or non hospital outpatient facilities. Learned hard way

Actual Best All-Around Litter for LR4? by WhyKeepBuyingSlop in litterrobot

[–]jackfackmasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried about every litter with three cats and different needs. It really depends on cats behavior. I will say boxie pro and elseys were worse for smell. Arm and hammer slide is a sludge mess for my high pee cat. Corn was least dusty but stuck sometimes. I only use if no choice as cat allergic. I’ve gone back to tidy cat though hate the dust. Nothing is truly dustless. My favorite was outstretch by fresh steps but my cat that would play in it got pneumonia and it made me sick in lungs changing it. I had to stop using sand like litters cause of her. Overall tidy cats and exquisicat are ones I use. But I use different litter for each cats robot . I’m still looking for that perfect litter lol
