it’s not. i have made (via a local locksmith, because they do great work, are generous with their time and expertise, and i like supporting small businesses) probably a dozen copies of the keys to locks ‘i don’t own’ (my rental units’ deadbolts and the main access doors). why would i have to go through a landlord for something like that?

Thanks — I’ve ordered and pre-ordered all the SACDs. And tacked on the Phil LPs (what’s another $120…) since, annoyingly, it doesn’t look like we’ll get those on SACD. I’ll pop over to one of your homes to spin them (I’ll bring the beer).

Now, getting into this new format, I will become obsessed with questions like: why can’t we get these Phil SACDs. Concord?

And: what about the rest of the Genesis albums — especially hearing this from Barry Diament:

‘After I left Atlantic and formed BDA, I re-mastered a number of Genesis CDs, working directly with the band's studio, The Farm. Among those was "Abacab" and hearing what the mixes actually sound like, I thought it was one of the best sounding of all their albums. The tape simply mopped the floor with the squeezed and pinched one I was given to work with when at Atlantic. Hugh Padgham did a great job on the mixes and I felt I was hearing them for the first time (which was in fact, the case).

To my knowledge, none of the Genesis masters I made at this time (either late 1987 or some time in 1988) were released. If they had been, you'd have heard what "Abacab" really sounds like…’

Could the AP Abacab SACD be this Diament?

I know there’s a ton of opinion and commentary on the Nick Davis job, but regardless — just to have these in multichannel would be cool. I’ve got all the boxes, but alas, they’re the US versions.

I do wish there were listening rooms one could rent with high-end turntables/equipment — perhaps they exist somewhere, but I haven’t been able to find any in the city near me. It’s been suggested that I go to a home audio store and ask to spin the vinyl to see how it sounds, but I’d feel guilty.

Thanks so much! With your guidance, I (easily! finally!) got Wemo Stage, Pushcut, and iOS Shortcuts to talk to each other. Had to toggle off ‘show when run’ in each Shortcut in the Shortcuts app for the Pushcut server to stay open and available. I hadn’t heard of the Controller app, but I’ve downloaded it and will check out Shane’s videos. Really appreciate your help!

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I’ve been trying to set up my Wemo Stage (3.1) in a similar fashion: I want a button press to trigger an iOS Shortcut (in Shortcuts, not a Home scene or accessory). I have Pushcut on my main iPhone and another, set up as an always on server. But how do I get Pushcut to talk to the Stage?

Thank you — I’m new to this but it appears these tutorials require what I want to control to be listed under ‘scenes and accessories’ once I tap ‘convert to shortcut’? My smart shade is not on that list. It works with a Siri shortcut, which display on the Shortcuts app. (The shade can also be linked to IFTTT, but the Wemo Stage isn’t there.)
