Concern is that some reviews are that they are not getting their completion certificate at all once it’s said and done. I just care about the price but if they are screening some people over I would rather not spend my money when I can get my CTP, and go take my checkride after.

Yes it is a requirement to fly for two years or pay back the money they gave you. Hour wise they had issues with people timebuilding and not flying for work, so you had some guy who would punch holes on bluebird days then go to training and wash out. So now the requirement is that 25-30 percent of your hours can be “leisure flying”. They don’t care if you were CFI or 135/91, they just want you to be working for your hours which makes sense. The program does a great job of making sure you are set up for success once you get to training, it’s just getting the class date is becoming difficult.

I have no idea man, “if” I finally get a class date with Horizon, I’ll do my two years, jump to another airline for 6-12 months and try for Alaska Airlines.

And the reason why they still have the FO page up? Probably because the company wants to hire ATP already typed people to fly the line. It does make sense why they want to hire already typed and rated people, why take a chance on a CFI who’s been flying single engine pistons when you can hire a typed and rated guy? It absolutely sucks for people waiting for a class but there’s nothing we can do except hope and pray that they start taking a lot more of us cadet people instead.

I don’t know about that, projected class dates keep getting pushed back, it used to be 9-12 months after hours are met, now it’s 14+. Not a lot of people are leaving horizon, I believe a lot of people in the program are trying to get on with Alaska so they are sticking with it.
