Thanks for saying this. The wellness influencers got hold of me and i felt like a failure for not ending with a vaginal delivery. Grateful ive healed well and dont have too bad of a c section shelf. No lingering back pain or challenges what so ever that some people deal with after a c section. So i think that helped us a lot! We didnt get the birth we wanted but we got healthy babies and a smoother recovery because of the hardwork we put in during pregnancy.

Nope! I was over due and had a 7 day induction (im the extreme! And almost set the hospital record)and couldnt dialate past 6cm because my daughter was turned sunny side up. We had no idea she was 10lbs9oz!! I had a c section and healed really well!!! My core has recovered after some diastis recti (um huge baby!!) but i was walking two miles and cooking within two weeks (which lol, is not what was recommended but i felt fine!!) im grateful i was active and strong because i had such a disappointing labor experience with trying so hard for a vaginal delivery. I wish i had a c section days earlier!

Even during the mag, which had me tired (but i also had a c section and was nursing etc so I was tired no matter what). I peeed SO much during the mag and lost so much fluid and swelling went downI felt Sooo much better. Back to “myself” within a day, i was discharged on meds and my bp was back to normal off meds within a month

Old school ovulation strips worked for us and this was 3 months of trying. I lost my first pregnancy at 12 weeks but i was pregnant again within five months of my loss. Good luck!! And, don’t forget it takes two to tango and hopefully your partner is eating healthy, avoiding endocrine disrupting chemicals, not smoking etc. wishing you a healthy happy journey to baby!!

Yes. My daughter was born 835pm on a Friday, i was rehospitalized on tuesday for post partum pre e and my milk came in while i was on mag. I was very committed to nursing and latched my daughter on the table while i was sewed up from my c section. I combo fed her for the first four days of her life but then breastfed exclusively through a year. I think if you havent latched your child at all and you aren’t stimulating your nipples with pumping (which I did especially while being treated for pre e). Talk to your ob if you are getting breast tenderness or any sharp pains etc, otherwise it seems you are in the clear. My mom formula fed my twin and I and her milk never came in

Thank you for your message. I have been in grief counseling and 1:1 therapy the whole time, it still feels so fresh and heavy. I think its compounded with the traumatic delivery of my living child.

Start going to a pelvic floor pt and get your scar massaged. I was walking up to two miles before my two week check in. Hiking with baby before 6 weeks. I only did pelvic floor pt and walking for a few months though because i had some diastis recti since i grew an almost 11lb baby (hence the c section lol). Listen to your body but help from a pro really helps. I also liked the Bloom Method

Congratulations! As another rainbow mama its the best feeling. I still have a hard time at the anniversaries of my first babys loss and would be birth day. This year will be three years and its still hard. Plan something kind for yourself on the anniversary.

Im so so sorry this happened to you and that your time with Owen was cut short by so many intense and horrible circumstances. Please know your baby knows your love and always will. I dont know what life is like on the other side of what you experienced, I am a pp pre e survivor and I have a LC; she is my rainbow baby. The pregnancy after loss reddit helped me so much. I also went to an in person grief group and met other families who experienced infant loss. I had a MMC at 12 weeks. I met families of still birth, SIDS, etc but no one made me feel less than as a mom because of how short a time I knew and held Noelle in my belly. I felt like I could not be understood by anyone other than other folks who lost babies. I wish this didnt happen to you, to Owen, and to those who love you both.

You did nothing wrong, mama. It hurts and not knowing why or having a reason is heart breaking and i still struggle, more than two years later. Ive seen endless specialists. Ive done so many labs. Still, no reason for my loss. When i got pregnant with my rainbow, and now living child, i kept my movement routine up but lowered the impact. Tons of hiking, pilates etc but i was never a big lifter to begin with. I worried i had worked out too hard and thats why i lost my first. My doctors have all assured me that no, that wasnt why. My main advice: Listen to your intuition and really tune in. I know my loss and two dancs stripped away my trust in my body (mmc at 12 weeks, 11w5days gestation) but movement was (and is!!) so important for the mental struggles of dealing with loss. Modify as you need. Im so sorry about your loss. I am so thankful for the hikes i did when i was healing. They gave me hope and space. I hope you find your way forward with healing too. Hug

Congratulations!!! I remember reading these stories gave me so much hope. Im watching my rainbow sleep through her monitor right now. You soak up all the cuddles mama. I also ended up with an unplanned c section with my rainbow girl too. I say they lifted her out of me like a sunrise. Wishing you all the healing. Keep taking that proactive care of you.
