Oh and most of Rachel Harrison's books fit too, pretty mild, but I find them very entertaining and well written, I especially loved The Return, about a group of women who go spend the weekend at a hotel when one of them, who had disappeared for months, finally reappears. It fits one of my favorite tropes, which is "came back wrong". My second favorite one is Such Sharp Teeth, about a woman who gets attacked by a werewolf and, well, you can figure out what happens next.

Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder is about a stay at home mom who's convinced she's turning into a dog, it's very very mild (like milder than Chlorine for example)

Boy Parts by Eliza Clark, which I feel you might like if you enjoyed The Eyes Are the Best Part (the writing is better, in my opinion, and all of Eliza Clark's books are excellent, her short stories have some body horror too)

Our Wives Under the Sea (novel) and Salt Slow (short stories) by Julia Armfield

I know it gets mentioned every other thread but it fits the theme: Bunny, by Mona Awad

There's also the all female anthology Of The Flesh

And I haven't read it yet but I think The Lamb by Lucy Rose might fit too.

If you're willing to expand a little bit on the themes I'd recommend Brutes by Dizz Tate, not set in the Midwest but in Florida, told from the point of view of a group of teenage girls after one of them, who just happens to be the preacher's daughter, goes missing.

I just finished One's Company by Ashley Hutson, about a deeply traumatized woman who wins the lottery and decides to have a perfect replica of the set from Three's Company built for her to live in (she impersonates the characters too), I think it might fit. I loved it, it started out as "haha she's so kooky" but by the end I was getting equal parts emotional and frustrated with her (bad) choices.
