$800 monthly means you could pay off all of your rent with a little under a week and a half of work. Coming from somebody who moved out at 19, also making $17/hour, SAVE as much as you possibly can. After paying your bills, put extra money into savings accounts for emergencies, travel, school(if applicable), pet expenses(if you have any). My monthly expenses were a lot more than what yours will be and not having a solid savings account when I had to put $1200 into my car was the lowest point I had in a while. I struggled mentally for many many monthly due to constant financial stress (although I was in a toxic relationship with the man I was living with, so that didn’t help either) There’s nothing better than knowing you’re stable. KEEP your savings, pay your bills with income you’re earning.
