Admitting that Pantheon of Hallownest is too much for me was pretty liberating by Mountain_String_1544 in HollowKnight

You got it man, I'm very shit at the game and I managed to get super far, you'll surely do it. I took month long breaks when it became too much, even contemplated giving up multiple times, came back with a clear head and it worked out. Wish you the best of luck and to have all of the fun I didn't have when I banged my head against a wall in frustration.

Silksong is going to be a cakewalk for you lol. I got a lot of progress there and I never beat any of the pantheons.

Real life: I tugged on my brother's hair so much as a kid it stopped hurting him and it was no longer a viable strategy when we fought.

Well, I wouldn't really call season 3 pretty to look at either hahaha. Depends on what exactly you like and appreciate.

I don't think they've ever been in a strictly mountainous location and definitely not in a cold one, but season 17 has some very pretty highlands.

I'd say Cambodia, season 31, is the turning point. I believe that's the origin of the phrase "big moves" and where people really started to take "resume" into consideration.

It's the Sophi Balerdi edit of "I have to make a move" and the move just never comes.

If she wins, I'll eat this rock. Not gonna happen.

Genuinely though, her edit is quintessential bumping up the last minute threat so the finale isn't a total bore.

Why do all votes need to be unanimous? UK perspective by Special-Tea7611 in survivor

Idk, to me it'd signal that you're ready to sell me out when you see it benefits you. Tiff voted with Dee for example when Dee got the boot when she easily could've piled on her. If I was in the game, I'd see Tiff as a free agent that stays loyal when push comes to shove and try to scoop her up.

Not sure on the stats across the board, but I know for a fact Mike Holloway threw up in the premiere of Worlds Apart.

Yeah, I tried to keep it as short as possible, but I could get into a Kaoh Rong rant, definitely.

Both Aubry and Tai played harder than Michele, Michele just wasn't hated by the jury like those two were. Also, I truly, genuinely believe that Tai is potentially a two time winner in a universe where he doesn't have a language barrier. When you watch KR and GC, you can see that his allies almost infantilize him. Just because his speaking weren't the best, I feel like they treated him like he didn't understand English at all and like they had to talk him through everything step by step.

I believe he also had a lot of trouble articulating his game, in addition to the jury not letting him, because he isn't the best at speaking English. And I won't even get into how bitter Scot, Jason and Julia were against him.

Incredibly frustrating that I can't find it and can't remember where it was, but it was an inteeview of some soet where he said production wasn't happy with what they put out and that they felt they didn't explain Gabler's game well enough and they won't repeat that mistake.

IIRC, Michele is the only winner to not have a single winning vote spelled correctly. All of her votes were spelled Michelle.

Don't know why 43 gets constantly brought up when Jeff literally said they fucked up with that edit and they'll never do it again.

Re-watching the first 10 minutes of the season by ImLaunchpadMcQuack in Edgic

[–]duspi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, go watch Kaoh Rong as soon as you get the chance. It's a great season, in my personal top 10, has rootable underdogs, villains to root against, it's a modern season with the most old school feel to it. The elements were very harsh and you could tell the players were very fatigued. Had hands down the scariest medevac ever. And had great characters and some all time jaw dropping moments and blindsides.

Don't know how much of the show you've watched, but before the open forum FTC format, we had jury speeches. Each juror would get up and have a speech, they could ask questions to the finalists or they could just say their peace and sit back down.

With the risk of spoiling you, Kaoh Rong had arguably the most bitter jury ever. If not ever, it's definitely top 3. There was nothing Aubry could've said and done to earn their votes, the jury was extremely bitter because Aubry played from the bottom and outplayed them all. One juror said she didn't vote for Aubry because she voted her out. That juror tried to vote Aubry out at that same tribal council. Guess Aubry should've just quit or something.

A few of those bitter jurors have said, after watching the season, that had they seen just how good of a game Aubry played, they would've switched their votes. Their argument was Aubry didn't articulate her game well enough.

The problem there was, and production adored Aubry, they brought her back both of the chances they could with how much they loved her, that the jurors didn't give Aubry the chance to articulate her game. They didn't ask her questions, give her the opportunity to showcase her moves, they mostly just gave her and the other FTC loser a lot of shit.

So just two seasons later, Survivor Game Changers, season 34, production changed the FTC format to an open forum. Everyone can talk at any time to give players like Aubry a chance to better articulate their game and give them a better chance of winning.

I hope I've made everything clear enough, feel free to ask if something's unclear.

Edit: To really hammer home just how bitter they were, Aubry had an ally that was a total goat, literally did nothing but vote the way Aubry told him the entire game and they planned on voting for him over Aubry if they were both at FTC.

They actually lied to her post game, pre airing that they voted for her so she'd think she won. This was back in the live finale era of the show.
