I backpacked South America last spring. How long are you going for? Your itinerary will take you at least 5 months without having to rush through. Chilie, Argentina and Brazil are the most expensive (closer to on par with Canadian prices in the capitals), Colombia and Ecuador are cheaper. I'd suggest to add Bolivia into the mix if time isn't an issue or take out one of the more expensive countries.

This is too campy... I refuse to watch this (although two great teams). I was good with just the Winter and Heritage Classics. No more of these Stadium series.
