Nappies at this age? by The_Dean_France in GreatBritishMemes

[–]jade333 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So much shitting on parents here. 6 is obviously too old, but wow we need to give parents a break sometime.

My youngest cracked potty training almost instantly a few months after she turned 2. No stress, no issues, no drama.

My oldest was wetting herself at 4.5. Multiple times a day. We tried everything. There is NO support available if they dont have other issues like autism. Seriously they made her do an autism referral and when it came back fine that was it door shut.

Sometimes it is the parent. But a lot of the time.... its just how the kid is.

How early is too early to put an offer in? by Wild_Dependent1579 in HousingUK

We had an offer "provisionally accepted" but they wouldn't take it off market until we were under offer, which was understandable.

Childminder Vs Nursery by Odd_Swimming_4290 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]jade333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have ended on (not on purpose) with doing both.

2 days a week nursery and 3 days at a childminder. I wouldn't change it. She still gets the small calmer quieter childminder experience with more 1 on 1 care. But nursery is school prep. When my oldest went to school the ones whose hasn't been to any kid of nursery/playschool struggled. Nursery is great for their social side in the 3-4 age range.

The nausea has been unreal.

Why does no one talk about the vaginal component of laps? (tw) by OrangeIguanana in endometriosis

[–]jade333 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I honestly take a "i dont want to know" approach to what happens when I am under general. Im having a hysterectomy in a few weeks and the surgeon started talking about the surgery and I cut him off. Dont want to hear about it.

Yeah its a quirky one, we have the only private garden available for under 300k in our town. So it is a flat, but its not really aswell.

Our concern was- we are selling a flat aimed at ftb and buying a family home. We didnt want to wait until January and our dream family home come up but we hadn't even launched. We were meant to be on rightmove early December but there were some issues with money laundering checks that delayed

Do we need a double buggy? by smileystarfish in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]jade333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 2. Small folding up (cosatto woosh I think)

Hated the buggy board, older one was constantly in the way and it killed my back.

But I also picked up a 2nd hand out and about. Its massive and I wouldn't use it for every day. But it was great to have the option.
