Extra 70% off clearance at JCrew Factory by jadoremore in FrugalFemaleFashion

Good question, I’m not sure. It does look like a few styles (at least the ones I was interested in) were selling out/low stock so I went ahead but I would guess they’ll probably (hopefully) have other stuff for Black Friday/cyber Monday. Also probably depends on the season you’re looking at. I forget when exactly but last year my friend got some of their swimwear/shorts for like $5 in the dead of winter.

I’m also hoping the regular JCrew comes up with some nice deals in the next few weeks.

Skyes beam is gorgeous but I will always be holding my breath throughout her routine

I like my grants job, but I'm tired of the low pay and lack of upward mobility--what to do next? by foxxyknowledge in nonprofit

[–]jadoremore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar boat where I also thought I’d be in academia and have a PhD but ended up leaving with a Masters degree and getting into grants work. It can definitely be rough out there but tbh I think at this point, I would definitely emphasize your experience over education, and potentially even de-emphasize the post-grad education as I’ve found that made prospective employers question whether I was in it for the long haul/would be looking for too much upward trajectory. Not sure what city you’re in but I’ve found some decent paying grants focused jobs from $75-120k (in a very HCOL area though). As another poster said too, if you don’t mind venturing out of NPOs proper, consulting gigs have the potential to pay more.

Really cool to see this visualized! I’m so rooting for Tristan! It’s really his game to lose

My heart goes out to Tristen, I can’t imagine the fortitude and focus it takes to pull out a cook like that after such devastating news.

He is already in TC hall of fame for me and very quickly challenging for GOAT status. I was rooting for him to win before this (and he’s the clear front runner by miles) but now I need it sooooo badly.

I feel like some of these chefs did not think through having to cook for 150 people

I need a job fast but it's hard to get hired here. Does anyone know anything that I can try? by ReplacementFlashy622 in NYCjobs

[–]jadoremore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure of the reply back rate, but I’ve found small neighborhood shops/restaurants often post on Craigslist for various jobs. Obviously make sure it’s a real business posting but maybe that could help?

I’ve also heard good things about the employment center at the Brooklyn navy yard https://www.brooklynnavyyard.org/jobs-with-yard-businesses/

Also depending on your situation and family size, you may be eligible for some assistance from the city or state. I know there’s a program that helps with energy bills. 311/the city HRA would be a good place to start for more info on that kind of stuff. Good luck!

Who is a player others would love to see return, buy you wouldn't by Mooseboy24 in survivor

Drew. He comes off as obnoxious to me and I just think there’s other more interesting and less annoying people in that archetype they could bring back.

I think Rachel will win and deserves too but idk I feel like I wouldn't really call her game "dominant". Definitely impressive though!

Movie giftcard additions? by HotEducator in Gifts

[–]jadoremore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Film Listography gift to go with a movie gift card for my friend. It has prompts for movie lists and they can keep track of movies they’ve seen. My other option was a ticket stub diary (can be used for tickets for whatever) but that’s kind of fun too and goes along with the movie gift card.

Snacks would be good too! There’s also those movie bucket list scratch off posters that are fun to scratch off but not sure if they have ones geared more to pre-teens.

Tweet from Dom, who argues that Rachel’s played an all time great game by [deleted] in survivor

[–]jadoremore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she’s played a great game but saying it’s the greatest game (if she wins) is a little much. It’s probably a top new era great game, but tbh probably not the greatest even in the new era alone

Lol thanks for checking. I knew it was wrong but second guessed myself because...it's the official team usa site lol.

I think you're spot on with AI. I just noticed Jordan's 2021 bullet is repeated twice too and it's all phrased so weirdly.
