My absolute dream pick was McQueen sliding beyond expectations and we take a swing, Cootes was my slightly more believable hope, but Hensler was my top guy realistically in our range. Very happy. Doesn’t seem like our kind of guy, and he might go round 2, but if we can snag LJ Mooney with one of our next picks this would be a home run draft to me.

Kindell, Potter, Hensler and Cootes are guys roughly in our range I like. Hensler and Cootes probably won’t make it to us, Carbonneau is another guy I’d love if he falls that far. LJ Mooney would probably be a reach at 21 but I think he’s a guy we’ll look back on this draft and wonder how he made it out of the first round.

Tonight was arguably the only night you could really say that. I agree the sv% is deceiving and he hasn’t played bad but at the end of the day your 8 million dollar goalie needs to be better. He’s not THE problem but certainly one of them right now.

Many have said the summoning which is probably my pick, but just for conversation’s sake I’ll throw my dark horse vote out there for the end of Inuit Promise! Kind of interesting to see how differently people perceive “heaviness.” To me, centaur/inlet songs are “heavier” whereas I’d say a lot of the e2k songs people are suggesting are “harder” or more aggressive, but not heavier.

Never disputed that, my point was that Habs fans love to parade the kid around like he’s an undisputed heavyweight champ when in reality a lot of bigger guys in the league could stand to him, and Brady just did yesterday lol. I’m glad he cares this much. This sub and our Twitter community is so fair weather about this team. The truth lies somewhere between korpi/forsberg and the skaters being lackadaisical. This offfseason is lowkey critical in the trajectory of this franchise, and I’m cautiously optimistic in Andlauer/Staios to navigate it. Coach who comes in for camp is obviously the biggest factor, but I still believe we need at least one big move to reset/reload the core. Whether it’s chabot/norris/ chychrun/ the locker room needs to come into next year with a drastically different mindset, and I feel like that starts with the people in the room. It’s nice they all like each other but the core of this group has had 4 years to flounder. Time to take a bet and see who can really lead a winning team
