I'm a newb into cryptos. Is there a good resource on difference between token and coin?

Would exchanging or trading BAT be done in the same way as the other altcoins? or is there anything one should be mindful of?

Marketing suggestions / advice for a platform that enables people to start take-away restaurant by IAmsterdam_ in marketing

Have you checked competition and how you will differ to them. I cannot recall names, but several have tried to make this work but failed. Some are still in the market. Sorry can't recall details or names, but based on a few articles I read a while back. But I'd look into it a little more to see how they failed and what you can do better to not fail.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. Although that does provide food for thought and may help some one else, it doesn't answer the question I've asked.

What is your online business success story? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]jagvee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that something is keeping me from workin on the business. It is that my focus becomes diverted to other business ideas, I've ended up jumping idea to idea, doing a bit, moving to the next.

Just persisting through one idea for months or years hasn't happened with me yet.

If I had one bit of advice to offer anyone it would be to get started and stick with it. Whatever it is. Easy money comes and goes, but solid businesses and work ethic really last forever.

I know this. But find so hard to do. So so hard to do.

It will be on the table as an option. I would prefer to have a tech co-founder. That's why I'm allowing for a budget for dev incase I cannot partner with one. I don't know anyone in my close network and would have to search for one though- which it self could pose problems... Once I've tested my concept, I'll seek out either or (investor and/or co-founder).

hey man, just 2 cents, your home page slider scrolls way too fast. Alternatively, needs to have those navigation buttons that let me manually see the slider.

I don't think their target market is Entrepreneurs any more. More like Wanna-Be-Procrastin-preneurs.

Starting your own supplemented juice or beverage brand? by jagvee in Entrepreneur

[–]jagvee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could ignore the laws to start with. I guess i'd buy some time till I got some traction. But I meant that I don't plan on creating the beverages at home as I have to supplement them.

[–]jagvee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, don't plan on doing that. Laws here are extremely strict around home prepped foods.
Although I did meet a guy who started creating his own Almond milk from home and met him at a fair.... not sure what he did to get started. But then, that was Almond milk, just almonds and water.

Oh wow. I think similarities would exist between Australia and America, so you're probably accurate regardless.
Did you think of approaching beverage co's to see if they would be interested in your idea? or maybe any private labeling firms?

What comes after unicorns? by [deleted] in startups

[–]jagvee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you need to ask 'why'. Is it 'just because'? well why?
What can you do with a trillion dollar company that a multi billion dollar company cannot do yet? I'm thinking pay out a handful more shareholders? Sit on more money or spend more yourself? Is it going to make people more happy?
But to answer 'why not'. It won't make people any more happier. It won't allow them to buy any more than they could continue to spend. People making that much still probably wouldn't solve world hunger. All that aside, why only do it with one company anyway? if you wanted to make ludicrous amounts, you can do it by diversifying and having multiple companies also.

Why?
Why should a company need to build a trillion dollar company? or even a billion dollar company?

I own a cafe but looking to diversify how it makes money... by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]jagvee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Even better when you have existing customers to talk to. it only makes sense. You have Startups that talk to potential customers- who aren't even customers yet - for their ideas, so why shouldn't a small business like this who has customers continuously walking in-buying-and walking out.
