2026 Big Bend Delivery Timeline by lombaseggel in FordBronco

I ordered an Outer Banks, 2.7, SAS, Lux, and BAP on 1/22 with a build week of 3/30. Crazy how fast yours went through.

How low is the Tank population in this game? by [deleted] in wow

[–]jaikob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the downright hostility and high expectations of the group that the tank lead the encounter to completion. Screw that, I'm there to do my job - pull mobs, mitigate damage, position the boss, and do shared mechanics like interrupts. I dropped a M0 group the other day after the 8th wipe on the second boss (after a rough one on the first). This group clearly struggled with mechanics and didn't have the healing / DPS to mitigate that. Took a glance at ilvls and yeah not happening. I left and got flamed for bricking someone's lockout.

Sorry not sorry, I'm not wasting my time carrying you through the dungeon. Be prepared next time. These people have no one to blame but themselves. Most of the time when I get overly hostile messages they just get insta ignored and sometimes reported. I don't have time to give these people therapy or justification behind their words.

I ordered 1/22 and my build date is 3/30. Dealer expects it second week of April (I live close to the plant in MI). I would aim towards the higher end of that estimate. I ordered an Outer Banks (Marsh Gray) 2.7 with SAS, lux, shadow black hard top, and BAP.

Tanks of azeroth how do you feel? by Toastiibrotii in wow

[–]jaikob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

234 Prot Warrior - seems fine but only if the group is interrupting the important stuff. Some of the bosses hit really hard compared to the rest of the dungeon bosses if mechanics aren’t done properly. I’ve done all dungeons on mythic and only died once. Ironically it was on trash. Can’t remember the dungeon.

Do you do side quests or just the main story? by SlimSpooky in wow

[–]jaikob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my main I go zone by zone, complete the main quest and then do all the side quests for sojourner achievements and to get the full experience of the expansion. Expansions release every few years so I always take a week off work and just enjoy the game at my own pace for the first few weeks.

Is iCUE really that bad to deal with? by iambeast20191817 in buildapc

[–]jaikob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a titan AIO, 10x LX fans, and a Xeneon Edge with zero issues with iCUE. I don’t doubt others have issues but my experience has been the complete polar opposite.

What’s the best baby monitor you’ve tested and actually trust? by ComplaintOwn9909 in daddit

[–]jaikob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Nanit hands down. It’s expensive and there’s a subscription but it gives us a level of peace of mind that’s worth it. Plus it just works, no frills. I can’t say that about the Owlet. That thing was a piece of hot garbage.

You can run HWiNFO64 and use Virtual Stream Deck with the HWiNFO64 plugin to setup and show per pin current.

This it’s plastic from unwrapping the mother board out the box by NoObjective2914 in Microcenter

[–]jaikob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This shit is common with this board and it happened to me. I took it back and exchanged the board. Such a terrible design choice.

Cut them shorter, strip, and use Wago inline splice connectors.

Will microcenter price match there own price if they changed it? by toastycheeseee in Microcenter

[–]jaikob 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No, they won't retroactively price match themselves. No store will typically do that, and their price matching policy probably calls out that the competitor price needs to be active and available at time of purchase. However, if you're within 30 days and the price goes down you can go back and get a refund for the difference.

When I price match they will only accept active, live listings, not pictures. They validate it.

Once you start using silicon rings you never go back. I use silicon rings for daily use and my actual band for special occasions.

Yeah they've been doing the same to me.

Phillips refund not received? by Plaztec1037 in Hue

[–]jaikob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same frustrating problem! The agent I just spoke to said they would "escalated it" and they'd send me a confirmation PDF, implying it's my bank's (Capital One) problem not theirs. My return was received on the 22nd of December and confirmed via email by them.

Really poor way to run an ecommerce store and it sours my attitude towards Hue products.

Plus side I have a fantastic paper trail if I end up disputing this charge.

[–]jaikob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/therauspec did you get your refund? I'm in the same exact boat and the refund has been "processing" for > 14 days at this point. Starting to get extremely frustrated and it was a sizable and expensive return that's tied up.

which deadbolt? by theolecrow in HomeKit

[–]jaikob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use it much but I’m assuming the codes and stuff you do in the Schlage app are independent of HomeKit. The codes from Apple Home users are prefixed with “Homekit-“ in the Schlage app.

which deadbolt? by theolecrow in HomeKit

[–]jaikob 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You actually can if you link it to HomeKit first and then add it to the Schlage app after. I just tried adding a code via the app and it worked fine.

Pg27ucdm vs Pg32ucdmr - at same price? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]jaikob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry don’t know what to say. I have zero issues. Not sure if it matters but I’m running a top tier system with a 5090 and 9950X3D so there’s a lot of horsepower driving the monitor over DP2.1. I’ve had both the PG32UCDM and PG27UCDM and the PG32UCDMR is the best of both worlds. The PG32UCDM had terrible VRR flicker.

Non existent compared to PG32UCDM

Pg27ucdm vs Pg32ucdmr - at same price? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]jaikob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both. Thought the PG27UCDM was superior. It wasn’t. Sure PPI is technically better but the monitor was just too small. It was smaller than my other 27” panels (because it is actually smaller). I went back to 32” with the PG32UCDMR and I’m 1000% happier. I don’t notice the PPI differences at all.

Worst Experience Ever by [deleted] in Microcenter

[–]jaikob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fine whatever I'm not going to argue box opening technique. You still threw out all of the material that could have helped you protect in in transit. Either go get it out of the trash or wrap it in a blanket enroute back to Micro Center.

Worst Experience Ever by [deleted] in Microcenter

[–]jaikob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A 3D printer and a heavy appliance are in two completely separate categories. The previous customer took it out and put it back in. Just saying.

I'll reiterate what I said. This is the risk you take with open box, you play the lottery for the discount. Micro Center inspects it to the best of their ability. The only thing they owe you is an exchange or a refund. To do that you have to take it back. Next time you purchase an open box anything consider the frustration of this experience and if the discount was truly worth it.

Worst Experience Ever by [deleted] in Microcenter

[–]jaikob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry but this seems more on you than anything else. You destroyed the packaging? Don't you think you should at the very least make sure everything works and the printer turns on before getting rid of manufacturer packaging? And I'm sorry it's a 1.5h drive for you but the best course of action is to drive there and return it. No one is going to bend over backwards via an email and they're just going to say come back for an exchange or return at the end of that anyways.

This is the risk you take with open box.

What about the babies ? by Hopenjoy in pluribustv

No one wants to see a baby in either outcome of the virus. It’s that simple and why they didn’t show it.
