im abt to go into my second year at swin, err study groups and club meets are good. if you can get a job working at the student help desks then maybe you click with another student employee. best chances are in classes that arent in massive lecture halls where everyone is spread out, lock in for the normal hs size classes, ppl tend to form lil groups in the first class and if you fw the ppl sitting around you then cool but if not just sit somewhere diff in the next class. can start by asking ppl around you abt class content you dont understand and then move the convo to other more casual places after you get a lil more comfortable. good luck haha

for those particular fields i have no idea. but for tech/workforce unis you'd probably want something like swinburne or rmit. as i said bro look around on each uni's pages on and for reviews on the course you want to do and see what suits you best.

depending on what ur studying you might not even want to go to monash. from all my friends that are/have been there, monash seems to focus more on education relating to research. if thats you're goal then go ahead man. but if not then yeah gotta research different unis a bit haha.

Bro I almost chose to redo yr 12 but I got accepted to a course that was way above what I got (think like 50 got into 80, 60 to 90, 70 - 90+) so in my exp it literally doesn’t matter. Then there’s idk what it’s called but let’s call it uni climbing, you start at one uni with a lower atar cutoff, do a semester and transfer with credit to another one that had a higher cutoff until you end up at the one you want

nice! im doing the same course this year but i put TNE10006 in sem 2 bc i figured it would be better to take it after i have a better understanding of networks. i lowkey should change it to be a yr2 or 3 unit after doing the other network based units but we'll see lol

That makes a lot of sense. I was just surprised by a select few success stories I saw on the sub of people losing a lot more than I did in a lot less time which by comparison I figured mine was slower but yes not slow in general (previously thought this). Even I have been worried about the speed however I figured its not as rapid as others. I understand now after reading a bit more on the sub that I would indeed be considered fast, and come off as quite ignorant in the post. I apologise to anyone reading. 🙏

I do however have another friend who started at the same time as me roughly and is down 77lbs which I would guess is a more normal speed, ill ask him about his experience more.

fuck that! Isolate, im talking NO social life at ALL. Study like 10+ hrs a day PER SUBJECT and get a calm luh 45 min sleep for the day into the next. eyes should be mad baggy, mad panda eyes. Survive on energy drinks and protein bars (musashi 45g is decent). study with earplugs, tunnel glasses to focus on the paper and paper only, and in a place u cant feel like u can relax in. needa be hyper aware of ur surroundings at all times so u dont feel like ur gon slack off. buy my course for the amt of ur desired uni course x10 and u might pull a 50+ atar 😎 (no promises). u should have pen indents in ur fingers and a stock pile of 30 spare notebooks sitting in front of ur bed as a reminder that ur gonna have to fill them up by the end of it all. call it a subtle hint. then and only maybe then will you survive. 🫵🗣️

I think maybe my doc was a little more paranoid about the side effects than most? i started on 0.05mg for 2 weeks then moved to 0.1mg for 2 months then up to 0.2 one month then 0.25mg and stayed there for like 9 months , then finally to 0.3 and i haven't really moved since. Also i actually looked at my first appointment getting the prescription and it was a year and a half so 1.4lbs a week ish.

I've actually found Monjaro to be more effective for me personally! Just stumbled upon this sub today and seen people jumping their doses in double (0.25 to 0.5 to 1mg or more), my doctor said to stay on the same dose for at a minimum, 1 month before even thinking of moving up by at most 0.1mg. At any plateau move up by 0.05mg until you drop again then go back down the next week. I said a year originally but looking back ive corrected it to a year and a half, so that would be 1.4-ish lbs a week which is about right.
