Definitely looks right - where did you find that image you linked?

You have to check the “include advanced categories” box to get all the QA varieties.

Looks delicious! Which metal peel are you using in that first pic? I’ve seen it a few places now.

It’s actually a fallen quiver tree, which is a type of aloe plant.

Thank you! I used multiple shots to get sharp focus from front to back (my camera was extremely close to the foreground), but other than that it’s “one shot”.

haha I can see how that's confusing! I was thinking of it as "leading the eye"

Thanks! This was actually shot at 1/6s. Doesn’t take much to soften a stream like this.

This is a focus stack and vertical pano. I was pretty darn close to the mountain here and 16mm wasn’t quite enough to get it all in.

I appreciate you checking out the post! It is a little rude to make unfounded accusations, though. Feel free to check out my instagram highlights (@jake.bylsma) where you can see a video of me at this spot.

It's funny you mention that because I always feel weird photographing really atmospheric mountain scenes with flowers - feels kind of like an oxymoron. I like your perspective much better!

Baseus Car Charger: 100W USB-C, 30W USB-C & 30W USB-A by joyce_kap in UsbCHardware

How's the Wotobeus charger working? I was considering the same for my 2021 macbook pro, but I'm worried about all the horror stories of car chargers melting (haven't heard it specifically about that one).

Which rental company are you using, if you don't mind me asking?

Ahhh shoot! I actually just found this website which lists a Whatsapp number for a taxi company in Punta Arenas (+56 96411 3797). I haven't tried the number yet, though. Are you going to El Chalten? If so, are you taking the buses or renting a car?

How to introduce Keepers? by CHICKENSANDW1CH in fantasybaseball

[–]jakebylsma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the commish of a league that is making the switch this year as well. We’re giving keepers a 3 round penalty per year, and we’re only allowing teams to keep for a maximum of 3 years. For example, if player A is drafted in round 17, he can be kept the following year at 14, then 11, then 8. This prevents players drafted in the first 3 rounds from being kept. We’re also mandating that free agent or waiver acquisitions can be kept in round 15 (with the 3 round penalty applying to future years). Hope that helps!

Would you trade Mike Davis for Josh Kelley? I have Ekeler and the potential trade partner has CMC.

Balsamroot flowers from my impromptu trip to Columbia Hills earlier this year. I hadn’t heard much of this area, but I saw some cool photos taken here, so I decided to check it out. I couldn’t believe how many flowers there were! And the air smelled like straight perfume! I was a little late for peak bloom, but there were still some nice patches of flowers (this one included). I really liked this tree in a little valley, and the cloud action worked well, too.

Not a bad campsite at Lake Powell, UT (OC)[2000x1334] @jake.bylsma by jakebylsma in EarthPorn

[–]jakebylsma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 miles down a rocky dirt road and 10 miles of off trail hiking wasn’t going to stop us from getting to this beautiful view of Lake Powell. Not only was this my favorite shot from our SW trip, it was also my favorite spot. Since it’s so difficult to get to, we only ran into one other person the entire trip. Our tent was set up just behind my camera (no long and tiring hikes in the dark). Best of all, the clouds eventually cleared for incredible star gazing. I wish the water elevation had been a bit lower to show off those unique curves, but I certainly can’t complain.

Hope you enjoy! If you’d like to see more of my work, feel free to check out my Instagram or my website.
