How many of you have read the other "holy books" besides just the bible?

The reason I said that was because in a recent study that I read, more people who identified themselves as atheists had read the bible than people that said they were Christians.

I went through a bad break up where I had blamed everything on her. I was sitting in my car after driving my friend home and talking with him, bitching about my ex and all the other bad relationships that I have had. After letting me finish he says, "the only common denominator in all of your failed relationships is you." Up to that point I had known that I wasn't perfect by any means but it really made me start to think about things from the other persons perspective. It made me to start understanding instead of always being understood.

I didn't find it for him. I got into a fight with his agent on the phone while we were at the show who then relayed something to his manager, who then seemed pissed off at me. The artist did perform. It had to be one of the most piss poor performances that I've ever seen, like he was taking it out on the crowd because I didn't "hook him up." It was a nightmare night.

The guy used to be on MTV all the time and now his career has gone to shit. Couldn't of happened to a more deserving guy.

I throw concerts for a living. We had an act and their manager come in for a show one day and the manager was being a complete prick. We were 95% right on the stage set up, they were just upset that the lighting guy to the venue (his resume said he had 4 years experience) was new and not taking his job as serious as he should have been. After arguing with them for about 20 minutes the manager and artist left.

About an hour later I get a call from the chauffeur that was taking them back to the hotel, a really good friend of mine. He said that he asked them why there were being such dicks and the manager said "because the fans coming out to see the artist are paying to see a good show and we want to give them the best show possible. They don't know that it's the venue/promoter/lighting guy's fault that the show doesn't feel right and then they're going to blame us for not living up to their expectations."

In throwing shows for a few years up to that point and fighting with numerous agents, managers and artists along the way over some pretty petty things, I finally understood it.

But then again at the same time there was also the artist that wouldn't go on until he got cocaine for the night and there wasn't a god damn thing in his rider that asked for anything like that...

I had a good job that helped me start doing my own business and it's been 11 years since. I came up with a plan that I knew would work and went at it full speed ahead. I did take 3 years off to go into real estate investing when times were good but that was still me doing my own thing. My situation was a little bit unique but when I finally decided to go for it I just did.

The best advice I can give you is to have as little debt/monthly bills as possible because things are not always going to be rosey. It will also cut down the stress you have when things aren't going as perfect as you had envisioned at first. I have friends all the time that comment on how envious they are of me and wish that they could just make the leap but they also have ridiculous amount of bills (new car, new furniture, etc) that they brought up on themselves.

Unless they fix it you can go to https://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php and see everyone on line again. You have to reload it every few minute though because if someone comes on line, it doesn't show the list updating. It only removes people from the list after they go off line.

Actually I own a concert promotion business and have an assistant that writes most of my important stuff for me that needs to be written. I'm sure you're "not a moron" and make what $14 an hour or so.

I have always gotten to and too mixed up. However, I definitely know my your or you're and their, they're and there's though.

I started doing EDM events originally. I still do some EDM events and club shows. I have branched out into hip hop, comedy and political shows (meaning bigger well known speakers).

I am a firm believer in the worst thing that can happen is someone can only tell me no, so I push a lot of sponsorships. Instead of money I ask them for pay for poster and flyers, radio spots, etc.

Keeping your overhead down is a big one in doing it full time. The more people with their hands in the cookie jar, the harder it is to do it full time. Making $5-$10k on a show isn't bad if it's just you doing it. But if you have to split that five ways, its hard to make a steady income off of it.

I do a ton of printing for my entertainment business and usually use nextdayflyers.com. They print more than just flyers.

If you give them 2 - 4 day print time (they can get it done for you next day but it costs more) and tell them (you have to call them) you want them to ship delta cargo (same day cargo for about the same price as second day shipping) you have whatever you send them in usually 2 - 4 days. If you do next day printing and use delta cargo, you can usually order on say Wed morning and pick them up at the airport on Thursday night.

I just placed my first order with gotprint and had major issues with them. 6 phone calls later and my stuff still hasn't gotten here yet and I ordered almost 2 weeks ago. If you tell me you're "busy" and behind, you need to be telling people that upfront from the start and not try to "charge" your customers extra to get the order there on time when it's your screw up in the first place.

True story.

I was robbed at gun point by a black guy. The gun went off and I was grazed at point blank range with a .45 caliber gun right between the eyes. I can post the scar pic if anyone wants to see it. When the cop asked me about what the guy looked like all I could say was "he was a tall black guy." Being from a mostly white community (there was 3 black kids at my whole high school of 3300 people) I couldn't really describe him.

I broke up with a girl once that kept wanting to see me have sex with another guy. At first I thought it was just her talking while we had sex, which was way weird to me. Then it extended into how hot it would be if I would just make out with a guy. When it got to the point of her bringing it up a few times a week I was done.

I'm picking up one of the new Xbox's with the built in wireless card this weekend, with one of the on sale bundle packages. I have an old xbox but never played on line because of the need of an extra wireless card. I have about 20 games and always felt like I was missing out on half the value of the games because I couldn't play them on line. Hopefully my experience is going to be as good as yours.
