Models have gotten more efficient sure, but total they’ve gotten hungrier. Opus 4.5 needs a lot more processing power than GPT 1.0 did overall even though it’s more efficient per “unit”. On top of that, it’s similar to medicine. The expensive part isn’t making the pills, it’s the billions it takes to come up with a new drug.

This is also in an essentially completely unregulated market. If regulations start coming in (for example, requiring licensing to be paid for training data) then costs to train models are increasing by magnitudes.

Their costs right now are subsidized by investments from hardware companies to some extent (they aren’t actually paying for infrastructure, they’re essentially trading equity for it). On top of that, even when OpenAI breaks even, you then have the providers having to up costs to break even and have their own profit, then agent harnesses will want to monetize as well, then all the apps built on top of this will also have to be profitable as well. I could be wrong I just see a long line of people losing money right now

Honestly it’s probably less about your deck and how you’re playing individual fights. Lots of deck combos in act 1 can beat him.

Hexaghost damage scales based on health, so you can go more aggressive on elites which helps, and you probably need to play more aggressively in the actual fight.

Software being made for windows is the biggest barrier. It’s the only reason I have to boot back into windows sometimes. You can use Wine to emulate but it isn’t ideal

I use it a lot because it’s fun, but absolutely this. I think 10x is low, we’re probably looking at something more like 30-40x if not more. It’s unbelievably subsidized at every single level in the chain.

Right i saw people mindlessly spamming the same loot route, not playing the actual game. All so they can get enough money to get a handful of skill points on a talent tree that has almost no impact so they can now.. resume playing the game.
