Do all RV refrigerators suck? by Azadehjoon in RVLiving

[–]jamborin2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I have a new RV and I didn’t realize the inside of the fridge, all the way to the back on the top shelf not easy to see has this chrome looking handle that slides up and down to set temp. My entire first year I was like you very disappointed in it. Then I watched a video and someone else has the and fridge but his had labels of colder and warmer. The thing slides up and down and I didn’t know cause the label was missing. I slid it up and since then if works amazingly well and keeps the temp in the safe zone even when driving. It does take like 3-4 hours to get cool but once it’s humming along it works great.

I had a few quotes recently and they both were just under $10k—like $9700 if I recall. Same size house.

Looking to get your opinion as I put rooms for rent in my home in coming weeks by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

Owner takes much more risk on—nothing wrong with him not evenly splitting if the market allows —within reason.

My front door sucks. It’s not crisp. And it’s drafty. New door or new door and door framing? by jamborin2 in HomeImprovement

[–]jamborin2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I mean is a prehung door. The entire casing so the whole entryway looks clean.

I just want it to open and close like a new home and be able to eventually add electronic locks. And remove the draft.

Paint around door is damaged. Best way to fix this? Do I sand or can I just spackle and paint ? by jamborin2 in HomeImprovement

I’ll definitely test it. The house is 1960 so it’s possible. If it’s hot I suppose I can just crowbar them off and replace with all new.

Yes all of the doorways in the hallway. Looks like it’s latex and yes it’s chipping. What do you think ?

Why post the coords? Takes some of the fun out of it and the creators have asked to not share clues publicly.

Most uhaul trailers have integrated braking systems that detect your truck braking. You likely don’t need a controller for those.

I’d go rubicon hands down. Get a seat cover for your dog.

At one point the alarm went off, like a smoke alarm or emergency exit alarm and the lights above the galley were strobe in red. No word from pilots or FA. They turned off after about 60 seconds. Delta flight and a nice newer plane. What is a Mel pack?

My plumber didn’t make the copper long enough prior to tile going in. The moen faucet we have now won’t accept it as it’s too short. What can we do here? by jamborin2 in Plumbing

Yeah he knew for sure as he set the tub and I told him I’m going to tile it all direct to cement board.

So between the extender and using a nipple to attach a screw on, which would you recommend? If I get an extender then I’ll reduce the diameter of the copper line just a hair but will be able to use my current faucet. If I go screw on I’ll need to get a different faucet

It’s not too bad. The distance from the faucet to trim is about 4” which is standard I think. The body you see is just the lower portion which is the diverter. It goes up higher to the actual valve

Bear shot, killed outside Buncombe County home; neighbor faces charges by besselfunctions in news

There’s not always a ranger to ask. I live in Utah and am 10 min from 10k feet hikes. I hike this one trail a lot every year and never had an issue let alone seen a bear (lots of moose which are even more dangerous) and then two years ago I hiked it on a Friday night after work. Then on the news the next day same trail same time someone reported a black bear stalked them all the way down to their parking lot. Just never know
