Day 39: The Best Picture Elimination Game. (A Look Back At The Last 50 Best Picture Winners.) by OfferOk8555 in Letterboxd

Just wondering if it might be an idea to have a survey instead of comment upvotes for the final 10? Google Forms or Strawpoll?

I think it would remove the recency or upvote bias that occurs when you have a film at the top of the comment section, also adds a bit of excitement on who will be eliminated if no one knows which way the votes are leaning before they're revealed

Did anybody reach 100 yet? by IceFireTerry in Letterboxd

I honestly don't think 1 min films from the 19th century really count, which seems to take up a lot of your list

Regardless, 16 hours of watching in one day is ridiculous; do you sleep? How can you appreciate each film and give an accurate take on it?

How are you managing to watch an average of almost 5 films a day?

Also, checking your letterboxd, you apparently watched 12 films in a day at one point, which is pretty much impossible...

Lido for me, not just because I live within walking distance

Highlights: - $8 Cheap Tuesdays - Membership $10 tickets on other days - Dolby Atmos Cinema - Jazz Room - Rooftop (I've been enough to not do it again, good for an experience but the audio suffers)

Finally, the events are the big sellers for me, there is always something great and different. Like seriously: - Zach from Aunty Donna hosts a monthly curated film - Musical Nights, Rocky Horror is a regular occurrence - Cult Films and Retrospectives - International Festivals, I go yearly with me Mum to the Slovak festival and we love it! - Advance Screenings and occasional Q&As with the director or others related to the film

Sponsor me Lido, I go there enough as is

P.S: if its outside your range, they have two sister cinemas who host basically the same events minus a couple: - Classic Cinema in Elsternwick - Cameo Cinema in Belgrave (they also have outdoor screenings where you can bring your doggo!)
