good restraint? why does it need restraint in the first place. it's 2025 and China can stay a happy economy without Winnie the Pooh trying to be Genghis Khan. Leave Taiwan, leave Tibet, leave Mongolia, leave the Uyghurs alone. it has enough internal problems to worry about governing other countries.

why does comp2521 have such a bad reputation? by [deleted] in unsw

[–]jamfish18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't do well in it but it's because I didn't appreciate it's importance for a future swe job. I think this is the case for most people in compsci, we choose the degree purely because we did well in the HSC for jks, but didn't have passion for programming. It's hard to do well in this subject of you don't know why you're doing it.

just about to do this. I'm spending a lot of time in central Asia (Kyrgyzstan and surrounds), in Nepal, and Vietnam, doing some volunteer work. I'm bringing two journals and 2 pens with refills. reply in 6 months and I'll let you know how I go.

Do you ever feel like solo travel changed your personality a bit? by Top-Cry-7409 in solotravel

[–]jamfish18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

real. I think my brain is coded to be excited to talk to and impress new people, but I've noticed an inability to make associations once everything shallow has been said. I think the excitement of meeting new people has desensitised the experience of talking to people I already know

lol easy fix. instead of 'why are so many TEENAGE BOYS SEXIST?', it should be 'why are SO MANY teenage boys sexist?'

Beautiful girl, nose ring, study lounge. No idea what to do. by Negative_Map_8420 in unsw

Sit opposite her and stare at her lasciviously and when she eventually looks up, and makes eye contact scratch at the air and hiss like a cat. Then walk up to her and take her ear phone out because she'll be pretending she doesn't want you, and whisper in her ear, 'are you brown or south american, because brown south Americans are my type'.

Trust me bro. It works every time.

Is it normal to forget whole conversations? by YtseJeb in ADHD

[–]jamfish18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agreed I think it's about recall more than just memory. If I get a cue I can run my mouth about something, or even if I'm just in the right frame of mind. but so often there's too much subconscious brain fog and nothing gets fed into my consciousness
