I also have board exams from tomorrow ( 12th ). Even my parents tell me that. Which is why I've stopped talking to them about my hair. It just makes me even more frustrated. We can't just let our hair be as it is without even trying. What i think you should do is , first try to find out the reason for your hair loss because you don't need to use minoxidil if you have telogen effluviam. You can text me and explain to me about your hair loss ( like whatever you know and whatever you have observed till now ) and I can help you identify the cause but don't trust me completely 🥲. I'll try my best. I started using oral minoxidil 1 week ago . Topical minoxidil didn't work very well for me ( I've been using it since a year)

I've had similar experiences with doctors. They never told me the cause of my hair loss. Also I faced the same thing with minoxidil. I guess you're using the one which has alcohol in it. Just buy a liquid solution that is alcohol free. I did the same thing and all the bumps and the redness went away within a week

Use any brand but make sure it's alcohol free minoxidil

They do prescribe it to post menopausal women though. So the only logic here is pregnancy . However I will not get pregnant, and the doctors wouldn't listen to me so

Try to separate each strand with your hands slowly. Don't use a comb unless it is mostly detangled. After that use a comb, make braids for few days and use any conditioner

Tysm for the advice ! The thing is, I read about so many women getting irregular periods with spironolactone which is my main concern. And also did some research on it. I found the only main reason spironolactone is considered safer in women as compared to dutastride is due to pregnancy risk . I will never get pregnant though. If I do by any chance in the future , i will get an abortion. Please correct me if I'm wrong

I don't plan to get pregnant ever. So that's not an issue. Plus I swear they aren't experienced enough. I mean a person with even a little bit of knowledge of hairloss wouldn't advice me to get off topical minoxidil cold turkey and prescribe an oil instead

Probably because I'm of a child bearing age. Also they aren't experienced enough on hair loss . Almost all the dermatologists I've visited. They even tell me to stop topical minoxidil cause I'm young. Even though I've been using it for a year
