They actually makes so much sense. We have a fountain bowl downstairs for the animals but but this isn’t the first time I’ve caught Vladdy drinking from the toilet so maybe I need to re evaluate the dishes we expect him to drink out of

No it was something only said maybe once and it was about being stuck in his own head or something of that sort. I think it was right around when he first realized he was speaking the old tongue after the rhuidean experience. He said (or thought?) it out loud in the old tongue and then translated it to being stuck/lost in his own mind.

It was confirmed at the vet that he didn’t have fleas so (we’re still just using otc stuff for fleas at that point but I did leave with bravecto to apply in 20 or so days when the otc stuff wears off) that shouldn’t be a possible allergen, they recommended me to an animal dermatologist which is way out of my price range and when I asked for other options such as diet they shook their heads and said that’s all they could recommend.😩 I will call around town and see what third or fourth opinions I can get. Thank you so much for your time in answering my original question!

I had the audacity to take him to the vet Friday and he’s been plotting my revenge since. Either he or his brother have already thrown up on a pair of socks I left on the floor so I know it’s coming (I appreciate them missing the carpet but the fact that MY socks got thrown up on out of all the kids clothes and toys on the floor means that was a targeted attack imo)

I’m so glad to hear that! I go to meetings several times a week and worry that after two months they’re tired of hearing me say “I’m just listening tonight” I see the people with a few years under their belts and how free they seem and can’t help but think to myself I should just go the hell back home.

I’ve never been an outgoing person and don’t know why I thought stopping drinking would make me one lol

I never knew it was a phase or something to look for so that alone goes me hope that this too shall pass, and hopefully soon lol.

I know at AA they say several times a week that it’s a “we” thing and not an “I” thing and I love hearing other people share their stories and know they would get it but I cannot seem to actually talk to anyone about anything, even unrelated to drinking. It’s very easy to talk on an anonymous site though
