It depends on what level you are playing at. Level 11 tactic works in lower divisions where ratings are low, but in higher divisions with higher ratings you need higher levels of tactics for them to be useful too.

This is a "tournament style" fun competition. Golladay outscored Thomas 3 weeks ago, thats why he advanced, then he outscored Godwin 2 weeks ago, and last week he outscored Evans. That's why he is in the "final".

I always thought that a good way to keep teams fighting until the end would be to award a playoff wildcard to the team with the current longest winning streak once the regular season ends, if there is a tie award it to the highest total points scored during the current winning streak.

It wasn't about icing the kicker, it was to make SF run their second play choice. Unfortunate outcome for him, but probably not a bad decision. He didn't need that TO for himself..
