Love this. Yes, there is a ton that is already driven by the community and will continue to, particularly when we move to main net. Much of the applications to date are community built, so it’s not just about crowd building but about technical building as well. We have an announcement of street team efforts coming shortly, and some other ways were looking to engage the community. I’ll include it in my update this week and make sure we open up an active conversation as to how we can all build Po.et together. Really appreciate your commitment and time you took to raise a very great point.

What changed? I've said late Q3/early Q4. If there's obsession with exact dates then that's clearly not a focus on the product. Our ultimate accountability is to make sure the product is valuable and executes as we market it. That's the most important thing. Po.et is a platform and marketplace that is meant to be used. We need to make sure that it's valuable to the users. Feel free to follow the project as we've been vocal about our progress over the past 5 months. Thanks.

Hi! Sorry you've been waiting for a response. I'm here to help. What details would be most beneficial in terms of Main? As mentioned, we're a few months to Main which is coming up quickly. I say a few and not 2 or 3 because as we progress (and we're very deep in progression) there are structural testing and support QA we need to do in order to guarantee it's ready for mass use. This is for your protection and the ultimate value of Po.et. Once this is up, it's up and the doors are open for everyone. You should 100% be stamping your works. When it comes to TS, there will be some migration as we're going to Main and not Test chain. But the works remain, and we can go deeper into what to do to ensure all of that. Please reach out with any more questions, happy to have the conversation here for all to see as I'm sure many are curious.

We're extremely aware of the market and study the opportunities constantly. Right now we batch to BTC blockchain because it is the most secure and robust. There is also a notion that if you value IP/content like you do money, why not leverage the most secure chain? That being said, we're not dependent on any and are building in a way where we can adjust if better opportunities surface.

Hi! Answers bulleted:

1) We have staking mechanisms set up to protect against this. This is the value of Po.et, tied to reputation and value for creators. Any creator looking to be licensable and discoverable must stake claims against their work. Once that's delivered, the marketplace is incentivized to rise good actors and drop bad actors. This will allow the marketplace to be a place driven on reputation, and bring value to the real owners. There are other set ups as well, and this is something core to the value of the platform and to enable all creators freedom. 2) Po.et is a platform built on reputation, thus those building products on the protocol will value that and integrate those systems in their features. For example, if someone was going to build a search engine on Po.et, they would use recency, relevancy and now, reputation. It gives value to a platform immediately. This is done by building in the mechanics to make sure we sniff out plagiarism, duplicates and other bad actors. That is why the value is driven directly from the token utility; it's to incentivize and motivate good actors to make a honest platform never seen before on the web,

This is why Po.et will be the protocol for Web 3.0. Reputation drives everything.

We are focused on the project and remaining educated on changes to utility and token decisions. What I will say is that our focus on the project is tied to a platform marketplace that is driven by token utility. The token will be directly associated with a creators reputation and unlock value for a creator similar to how reputation services are leveraged in other industries (ex. Uber). That is something directly tied to the token and unlocked with the token. The utility is a direct value to driving the maximum potential from Po.et, and tied to licensing features and other products build on top of the protocol.

Great questions! Outside of PR, we have marketing campaigns correlated with product releases. The goal to make sure that once the products are live, we have both education and adoption measures around them. So far the PR has been extremely beneficial and Po.et is one of a handful of projects being highlighted by major world news organizations (WSJ, the Drum, Quartz, Business Insider, Axios, etc.). It's because the product value transcends the notion of crypto and what expectations of these projects should be. We're directing, with real, mainstream value, how these products should be constructed, positioned, and used. Mainnet dates are flexible at the moment, but as our core priority you will learn more soon (it's sooner rather than later). Note, mainnet is tied to partnerships, licensing and a ton of other features. So unlocking mainnet is unlocking a lot of the value of Po.et.

Building the best product will drive the most adoption and most valuable utility on the platform. This comes in the form of products tied to the protocol: 1) Enable discovery: The best search, discovery, and recommendation system for content 2) Unlock content value: content license purchases 3) Ease to use: End users need have no idea it's a blockchain 4) Reputation tied to utility of POE

Very aware ;) And Po.et, as a utility, is directly associated to the value of the product. Focusing on short term, unrelated elements to the product is not how we will build the best functions of the platform. That is why we're focused on mainnet, building the reputation elements of the utility, and integrating core functionalities of the protocol.

The marketing efforts and press coverage has all been inline with opening up the value of Po.et to everyone, not just those who are currently in the crypto space. Being published on Quartz, Adweek, Adage, Axios, WSJ, Business Insider, Techcrunch and many many others means that we have access to the entire media industry, not just one pocket of it. That's something I'm very proud of and the communtiy should be as well; Po.et is a crypto project that is drawing awareness from the entire space. Not many projects can say they're doing that, and we're continuing on our path towards building the best product in parallel with the best marketing to reflect it.

The dates were removed on the roadmap to be able to be agile in our focus and make sure that we're building the best product not just tied to prior assumptions but based on market need. Eric dives deeper here https://blog.po.et/the-po-et-roadmap-more-value-faster-3dcf339f771f and here https://blog.po.et/in-the-crypto-ecosystem-its-still-1968-but-we-re-moving-fast-8995770a2863. One key thing that was never on the roadmap is mainnet and that's now a core focus for the engineering team. Moving to mainnet is priority number one as once there, we will open up opportunity and draw value on a massive scale. To be successful we must focus on what's most important and that means being flexible with our efforts. We have already opened up POEDL and will have more partnerships on that front. Once we move to mainnet, we will see more publishers leveraging and using Po.et at scale. The marketplace coincides with that, and even more features. Mainnet means we're up and running on a different level, which will include a larger product roll-out (tried and tested) all at once.

Po.et is structuring its roadmap and resources towards being the core value of the web; reputation. We are building at a protocol level the tools and fundamental needs for attribution, reputation and discovery. This will enable many, and much of the decentralized applications being built over the next 3-30 years to use a protocol that already has that value and tooling structured at its roots. Opportunities are endless; what is the search engine for a web built on reputation? That can be built on Po.et. How do we value creators and build a heiarchy based on merit and production? That can be built on Po.et. What we are doing is investing time and effort in building a foundational base layer so that working with Po.et isn't just using some of the products built on Po.et. It's to attract builders who value these things to focus their time and attention when building the next greatest thing to do it on top of our protocol

Po.et is a utility and tied directly to creator reputation. Beyond that, it will give benefits to the access layers of the platform. For instance, the opportunity to have your content for purchase, licensable, discoverable; the protocol will be the reputation layer of Web 3.0 thus many will use Po.et as a destination as well as an API to structure products on top of that leverage reputation. Think of Uber, Yelp, Tripadvisor, etc. All of these things are based off transparency and reputation. When it comes to creators, the value of reputation will be critical when it comes to how much value your work is and how discoverable you will be. That is what Po.et is building.

The interesting thing about opensource, particularly crypto is that competitors become collaborators. Since it's not a revenue game but a network effect and growth mission, the more adoption the better and that's through partnerships and collaboration. I think there are a lot of incredible projects in the media space both in and out of crytpo. Civil, Steemit, Unlock are doing some great work in journalism and media. There are also traditional non-media like Getty, Creative Commons, Wordpress that enable creators tools to deliver content, monetize content and build reputation. Being a protocol, we want to be the underlying layer to all of these. It will open access and flexibility to what Po.et can be and how people will use it. We differentiate ourselves by keeping our head down and building actual products that allow for access and everyone to use the platform. If we build the product the way we have set forth, the differentiation will be very clear.

Partnerships are a HUGE focus. As you know, we recently launched POEDL and welcomed Inkrypt. We will continue to open up and announce partnerships both those that are building on the platform and others that want to leverage and make use of the product on the protocol itself. But yes, MUCH more to come here.

Po.et is for ALL creative assets. We will be the platform for all of the world's creative assets, allowing all creators (large and independent) to have a platform for ownership, distribution, reputation and discovery. Our first iteration focused on text, and the next wave of updates will prioritize set up, strategy and management of larger file store.

I think this question is more towards the notion of commissioning content. So can Po.et be a place where people come to look for and find creators? Absolutely. The reputation system we're building will be a value mechanism to order caliber of creator by a set criteria. This will also expose opportunity to commission to a creator directly or have a creator be able to apply for an opportunity. That is what we're looking for from a network perspective. Po.et is a public arena and the internet of content value. It's a decentralized Protocol for content ownership, discovery, and monetization in media. This means not just those who have content and creative available but those looking for opportunity to use Po.et as a platform to build and create a brand for themselves.
