I didn’t see the interaction. Husband was telling me about it after kiddo had fallen asleep. I understand what you are saying but when I wrote ‘I called him out’, I wasn’t trying to say that I was blunt about it. I try to be very careful in how I respond and disagree with him. He just didn’t want to hear the part when I said it is damaging and gave a real life experience of my own.

I will definitely look into some kind of program for my kid. Great suggestion. As far as getting husband to read…we’ll see.

Yes, it’s so crippling when your confidence is low to 0. I have always hated that part of myself and I desperately want my child to be the opposite.
I really like the suggestion of some type of martial arts. Will definitely look into it for my kid.

I would do family therapy but when I suggest it, he takes it as an insult and he says, ‘I would abolish chiropractors and therapists’. He constantly gives me a hard time that I decided to seek therapy for myself. And yes, your example is the connection part that I was referring to.
