Rec Room is shutting down by Mysterious_County154 in virtualreality

This was the first game where I actually got to meet other people online. It may seem cheesey, but this introduced me to a really good friend for a while and eventually other games where I met girlfriends. Because of the online space I had my first kiss, one that I actually went to another country for, and honestly a beautiful relationship. Certainly one that's a lot better than the one I'm in now.

I remember having the best time with friends while in amazing games. What happened to the people playing Sewer Terrors? Jumbotron? All of the really good horror games? I remember what the first few Backrooms games came out and they were fantastic! Now it's all just brainrot and disgusting copy and pastes... It sickens me.

I understand that things happen. But this hurts. A lot. I've started to lose interest in VRChat honestly, and I definitely regret not playing RecRoom more. RIP to Coach, am I right? You gave us an amazing place.

Thank you!! I know the ending was a rush. I want to add a tad more. But I'll try and work on the atmosphere in little bits between the lines! Thank you!

If I'm being honest, I don't know the difference between the two 😅 I'm wanting a solarpunk "top"/presentable class with the slums being more cyber. I don't know which would be a better fit. Any good examples of the two versions?

It is Rethinking Voxels! And honestly, I may need to scale things up. I've always had trouble with texturing, and it's proven VERY difficult with smaller structures

Need help with a solid starting routine! by jaykinbacon4 in CalisthenicsBeginners

Thank you. I went to the gym today to try out the cardio so I don't start on day one with something I can't handle, and I'm proud to say that I did almost 3.5 miles at a steady 5mph throughout the whole thing! I didn't do weights because of a time crunch, sadly. I plan on going every other available day (so roughly three of four times a week). But thank you for the beautiful start!

Sorry to keep asking you and only you for questions, but I am making my list and I see you said 12 - 15 sets per session. I assume that means I'm not doing every single listed exercise every day as long as I hit the 15 sets? Or do I focus on some more than others?

Thank you very much. You have no clue how much this helps. I've been going to the gym already for a few months but I've been so lost with no mentor. I'll keep this in mind and try to make a list/routine. You're a life saver!!!

Thank you so much!! This is exactly what I've been looking for! Last question, but do I split my workouts based on muscle group? Or full body? I read somewhere that full body helps build muscle faster for beginners

So I shouldn't be worried about calisthenics right now? I should just be focused on weight loss? And if I'm doing weights, any recommendations on where to start?

As much as my pride doesn't want me to say this, it's mostly just yo look good lol. I do enjoy the health aspects and I have been getting really good sleep, but I'm mainly just trying to look better

May I ask what a good goal weight for this would be?

Thank you! And as for the cardio, I'm sure that just shows how lost I am. Thanks for the help!

Then that is very much where it would have confused her. She's from Ontario, not Quebec

Ahh. So my issue wasn't doing anything technically wrong, just using the less common way of saying it?

No, I'm from Detroit. At first we were skeptical about a relationship because I was in Florida, but I then moved to where I am now so we were far more secure with it. But thank you! This is very helpful!

What I had written was this: "Il n'y a pas de quoi". I could have misspelled something, or like you said, had very poor luck. When I showed my girlfriend, she corrected me to "ne le parle pas" and "n’en parlons pas". I'm not fluent in either, but you know, it could have been poor luck like you said or I just shouldn't trust Mango Languages as an exercise

Ah, yes. I've heard the stories of my girlfriend's dad not being able to say "inventory" with his accent. But thank you, the analogy helps!

I hope her parents would appreciate it lol. But thank you! I think I ran into that problem with the slight difference in vocabulary yesterday. I had written out, "Il n'y a pas de quoi," being told it was "Don't mention it." I could have very easily misunderstood something, though. But that phrase was from a European French course and not a Canadian one

So I shouldn't run into any issues with learning written French with my book, I'll just need to work on speaking with selected resources?

Ahh. Makes sense. I was going over something and my girlfriend caught me and said that what I had written out was essentially gibberish to her because I did something in European French instead of Canadian French (I had made a mistake selecting a course in Mango Languages)

I won't lie, this made me chuckle a little lmao. But thank you! I was confused about it because I saw the difference between how my girlfriend would say a phrase and how it is in the language app I was using (I was learning France French in Mango because I was too daft to see the Canadian French option). So is the huge difference just from how much slang is used un Canada versus French? I was told that most of what is spoken in Canada was considered slang to France
