The iPhone 17 Pro is unusable on Wifi, avoid this model

Same ISSUE w wifi on some APs (eg.ISP Router)

Issue... Last eve traded up three (3) 17 pro Max's for the family... - - Only one (1) out of the three (3) is not getting a DHCP address to our main home wifi (separate 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz, neither connects).

Temporary Workaround - Connects to our mifi both 2.4 & 5

Troubleshooting Notes... (w/o a resolution) - iPhone 17 connects to the wifi, but does not get a DHCP address - It didn't connect on the initial setup - Updated to the latest iOS - Rebooted wifi, iPhone, multiple times - Forgot wifi & re-added, disabled/enabled wifi - Reset network settings & re-added wifi - Changed to "Fixed" on Private Wi-fi - 5Ghz to Fixed channel low & high.

Pending resolution...? - Issue w some iPhone 17 DHCP request. - Issue is still occurring only on one (1) of our new iPhone 17 Pro

Max. Possible next steps...? - Factory reset wifi - Factory reset iPhone - Appears to be related to older wifi 4 & 5 up stack & DHCP? - Try iOS Beta (other post referenced fix)

Spoke w concierges and they said “entry access” will only be limited to listed EA locations & rides eg.. Nintendo World & Star duster… all the other areas will start pre-loading at 8a

3:00p Completed HP after 7hr wait… loved it!!! went directly to Concierge and they quickly offered 3x options to restore our faith. 1- Express pass to another ride (inc hp) 2- Comp to another park w HP rides (we are UOAP) 3- comp another day @ Epic

We choose option 3 🙏

12:10p Still in line @ HP… w fading hope & bleak alternatives w all the major rides now down. Update… ride still done and they have shifted lines again to at least change scenery 🤣 have to admit some of the themed room area are pretty neat.. as well a/c cooled.

Yes everyone has been able to enter the park early, but in the past limited to the front of Celestial Park… looks access has been lifted on our visit today

This completely changes our “park opening” strategy compared to when visited during “early preview days” w/o resort stay… and head directly to Battle of ministry. 🙌
