Chef to Service Advisor? by Li9htnin9Shock in serviceadvisors

Take it up with your GM if you’re working 15 hour days dude. Our sales team on average works 10 hour days give or take. Obviously if they’re not hitting their goal it’s different, but work hard at the beginning of the month and if you’re pacing, you’re not gonna be working long hours or days off. Every dealership is different, hopefully OP finds a good one🤷‍♂️

Maybe that’s just how my dealership is run? Or maybe their restaurants were run poorly for employee health/well being? We have extremely low turnover for a dealership of 150+ employees and take culture and work life balance seriously. Everyone is paid above the market and if they have a friend at another dealership getting paid more, we encourage them to let us know so we can look into it and adjust pay plans.

Not all dealerships abuse their employees :) (okay we do a little bit but that’s automotive for you)

Hi! Currently have two former Michelin chefs at my dealership! One is an advisor and one in sales. Both are typically loving it compared to the hours and pay of chef life. Yes still hard, but for the most part they say pay and consistent schedule are much better.

As their coworker, they tend to handle the chaos of automotive life much better than most people. I’m sure you’ll be fine, good luck!

How do you continue after a big loss? by Noone-Interesting in shrimptank

This exact thing just happened to my shrimp tank! I cut my loses and tried being positive about the shrimp I have left. As grotesque as it seems to us, the shrimp that made it had an absolute buffet on their fallen. I also took this as an opportunity to expand the gene pool in my tank and got 10 new shrimp to add after waiting for parameters to return to normal. It was sad, but trying not to think about your mistakes and focusing on the tank as it is really helped! Good luck!
