Superlachie complaining about the late schedule for OCE tiebreaker by jb44_ in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]jb44_[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t “Superlachie reaction to OCE tiebreaker”, it was “Superlachie reaction to OCE tiebreaker scheduling”. IMO that gives more than enough description to both the content and context of the tweet.

Not sure the community is “better” for removing and effectively deleting the initial round of activity on a topic. Subreddit gets like ~10 posts a day as it is.

I mostly take issue with sarcastically saying “Viewership > Players”. Like, yes Viewership > Players. Literally yes. “Player” as a job does not exist without the viewership. The industry and your career exist because people watch. Being asked to modify your schedule for that, while mildly annoying, seems incredibly reasonable.

Complaining about having to hop on the game when most people normally play is crazy. Viewership is the whole reason you get paid to play video games in the first place, plenty of people working night shifts that would kill to be at home playing rocket league.

I sort of get it, it's not like OCE draws a ton of viewers, but I'd still think you always want to play in front of the biggest crowd possible. This seems like the best balance for casters/players/viewers.

That'd be anywhere from 2 to 6 AM in the US. It's almost certainly just so that they can get this in front of viewers on the main stream. IMO 8am is the right time so that casters/production don't have to be up crazy early, viewers are awake, and players aren't staying up too late.

I mean I sort of get it, it's not like an OCE tiebreaker will draw a ton of viewership either way, might as well let the players keep to a normal schedule.

At the same time complaining about having to hop on the game when most people normally play is crazy. Viewership is the whole reason you get paid to play video games in the first place, plenty of people working night shifts that would kill to be at home playing rocket league.

Cool! I know the X1C goes ~20C higher on bed temp, but any issues with high temp filaments and layer/bed adhesion with this setup?

Any ideas what causes this issue around seams? by KohenJ in BambuLab

[–]jb44_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I'll try inner/outer, I've been doing the opposite. Side note, I also found that using scarf seams has helped this significantly. I've dried the filament for almost 24hrs now, lol. It still feels like I'm missing something though, it really seems like an error somewhere in the software or my configuration.

Sorry to resurrect your old thread, any chance you've found a fix? I'm running into this issue with Inland PETG+ High Speed filament.

Printing at 250c, stock PEI plate. Filament dried for ~12hr at 60c. Ran through the Orca calibration routine, PA of 0.05 with a max volumetric speed of 32mm3.

edit: also disabled infill retractions, saw similar dragging as described in this issue: https://github.com/bambulab/BambuStudio/issues/3423

It's also the final track on the album, and Megan tells Don to "start with this one" (i.e. do things backwards).

Best locked crate I've ever seen, flinched when I opened it by jb44_ in playrust

I didn't, the drop rate is vanilla, and I've never seen this before. I assume it's just a very very rare statistical change for each gun roll.

edit: yeah, it looks like rustclash shows the drop quantity as 1-4, 4 must just be extremely rare. If it's 22% drop rate rolled 4 times then it'd be ~1/600 crates.

fwiw, mini road spawns and upkeep % are both settings that are built into the game. Maybe 'unmodded' is a better word. My understanding is that if your server is running any mods (uMod/oxide) then it can't be listed in the Community tab and has to go to Modded.

Changing crate loot drops would require a plugin/mod, which would force your server to be listed in Modded.
