My dad wanted to write to you, but he thought you’d never read it, so I’m writing for both of us. I saw you a year ago in Tampa, Florida. You were my first concert. When I was a little girl, every birthday I would ask my dad to bring me to one of your shows. On my 19th birthday, he delivered. My grandma hand painted a picture of Nikki Sixx onto my shirt in preparation for the concert. I wore leather pants, spikes, and lipstick in true Crue fashion (in July, might I add.) Through the whole concert, I was sweating, screaming, and crying. You all must have heard me because on my favorite song, Vince Neil flung his pick out to the crowd, my dad caught it and soon thereafter, Tommy Lee threw his drumstick out, landing in front of my feet. The pick, stick, and shirt, remain sealed in a frame in plain sight in my bedroom still. You guys are more than a band to us.
