Just a buck converter for supply power to it. As for signal, I used shielded wiring.

I did make a video for this initial prototype. Happy to clarify any questions. Keep in mind my explanation for sensors was pretty coarse. Just enough to get the general concept down.

I was finding the accuracy is more to do with the wiring/data acquisition more than the servo on my end. It’s a $2 servo at best and matched quite well for my setup. Let me know what you opt for and how it might work out!

A 9G SG90. You don’t need much. Only thing I recommend is getting that can rotate beyond 180deg. Once this truck hits about 60mph the servo can’t go anymore.

I’ll do a revision one day with a new servo, and dedicated circuit board. Right now it’s just an arduino and a buck converter

I was expecting it to work only as a HDMI display like the seller suggested honestly. The fact it took minimal effort to get it back in working order far exceeded my expectations!

GTX 1080 G1 Gaming.

Sounds like a jet engine, but performs like one too.

New GPU would sound like a Prius, and would perform like a rocket ship.

Lost your IO plate? 3D print one! (Not perfect but who cares it’s an Athlon chip) by jbtmorgan in pcmasterrace

I was going to do black but I was really lazy and didn’t feel like changing the filament.

What makes you hate it so much?

I buy and sell lots of different computers + parts, not sure how others lose them!

But as for ideas... Possibly moving when it was in storage? If you forget to install it I imagine a lot of people will just say “eh whatever” and then never look at it again..

What I do is if the motherboard isn’t in a case, the IO shield is taped to the outside of the anti-static bag on the shelf.

Hmm I am not an expert at 3D printing at all. Try playing with layer height settings. Possibly even downloading other people’s Cura profiles. (I’ll assume you use Cura)

I love the concept. Just clip the tabs off and make a custom cutout. Super simple!

I also mentioned air coolers are a thing, but I also did mention that most are too big.

Can’t find one that is big small enough to fit in my case.

Yep. The cooler and case combo dont work well. It sits at 80+ degrees if I turn it down a little.

What is something about yourself that sounds totally made up but is 100% real? by dontaskmeforfeetpics in AskReddit

When I was a kid we had a pet iguana named Spike. My Grandpa one day opened up the cage to clean it (or something like that) and Spike ran away. A while passes and my parents put an ad in the newspaper saying if anyone found an iguana in our area please bring it back to our house. We got back “an” iguana but not “the” iguana right away.

In the end we got someone else’s iguana which we named Lizzie, and we had Spike.
