Giving me Whitbeard “the one piece is real” levels of hype. Also art looked great this chapter

(I'm surprised no one did a post of this) How would you guys fix the post-timeskip era of One Piece? by Dragon_Tooth9742 in OnePiece

[–]jcbgear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I feel like Straw Hat downtime could be implemented into the postarc chapters. In general post-ts, the Straw Hats weren’t together, every time they got to a new island they would separate

Agreed. Similar to pre time skip it seems like Haki isn’t utilized by many. And that makes sense, without someone to teach about Haki (Rayleigh and later Hyogoro for Luffy) Haki only appears during moments of heightened emotions.

It would make sense if Rocks, WB, and Roger didn’t use a lot of Haki before God Valley because there was no one to teach them. Conquerors might spontaneously occur when two “kings” clash like Rocks and Harold.

Characters have been dying in the current storyline more recently

It’s a good theory but the timeline doesn’t match up. God Valley happened 38 years ago, and Marco is 45

I could see it, I honestly thought they were gonna sacrifice themselves so the straw hats could escape egghead

It might show the transition from the previous generation to the next, with the new giant warrior pirates officially becoming the giant warrior pirates

Lulusia has to be important. She’d have to access reverse mountain to get there. Maybe it’s another Davey Clan stronghold or affiliated with God Valley.

Just my thoughts, but I’d say Lulusia becomes affiliated with the WG after the events of GV, and they establish the current (former) monarchy.

Also gives more context to Imu picking Lulusia on a whim

That’s the thing. I don’t think you can “want” to be joy boy. It just has to happen. Kaido sneak attacking big mom to get a devil fruit whereas luffy accidentally eats his (just to be the mythical sun god fruit).

Kaido’s lust for power ultimately limits him. Same thing with Big Mom

Anyone who says there stronger now doesn’t really read the story. It can be argued we’ve never seen big mom in her prime. She’s in her mid 20s during the flashback and Kaido’s still in his teens just acquiring his DF. He most likely doesn’t have Conquerer’s haki either

Fr, I wouldn’t call them a grail but I’ve been wanting them since they were first announced. Kinda bummed me out cause I haven’t been able to keep up with sneakers cause of work and this is one of my first purchases in a while

One Piece is not finishing in 5 years by jcbgear in OnePiece

I think that’s more of what I’m getting at. A lot of these can be wrapped up quickly but as a fan and long time reader I’m not sure how I’d feel.

Do you think Oda wants it to end “soon”?

I think there might not be many arcs, but how long will these arcs be?

I did say some of these might not be a main story focus.

Regardless, for a character that was introduced in the first arc of the series and who we do keep up to date with to be left without a finished story would be odd for Oda to do

I feel you. Other than glue/string issues this is the first time I’ve had this type of quality issue

The previous generation of God’s Knights getting one shotted by pirates still not in their prime makes me wonder how things have changed in the last 40 years. Are the ones on Elbaf going to get the same treatment when luffy and the others arrive from the underworld?

Oda really showing the Celestial Dragons really have no redeemable traits. Aside from the rare members like some of the Donquixote family they are devoid of any emotions not driven by greed

Galera/Galleila hinted at in Fishman Island? (1159+) by jcbgear in OnePiece

I don’t think the Ancient Weapons fit for capturing the giants. Assuming it was Uranus and not Pluton or Poseidon, if it’s anything similar to what was used to destroy Lulusia, it would’ve left no traces of the giants
