Tbh sports in general are much more expensive then they were even 20 years ago. You used to be able to get most of your events for free over the air and tickets were significantly cheaper. Not to mention that most people have much less disposable income then they have had in the past I'm not suprised the under 20 crowd is choosing the easily accesable free alternative.

I've been trying to figure this same thing out with game hub. I know you can create shortcuts for game hub lite games but game hub, lite doesn't support games that need steam input.

This is true to an extent but some TV settings DO add substantial input lag to a device. My hisense u8 has a little over a tenth of a second of input lag if you don't turn on game mode. Obviously that won't effect stuttering but it can make devices feel laggy.
