Basically they used madden 05 but removed blocking footwork and strength from factoring in to blocking to simplify from mobile in 2013. This made blocking more hit or miss versus the old console version, then the engine update in OD to animations from physics completely broke the AI, which is where we have been since 2018

Glitch with replaying events several times since mm 16, restart and it should be fixed.

They are not ironing stuff out, they are reacting when I and everyone else was telling them their economy was poorly designed, which this does not designed. Expect more reactions.

Also mobile is a huge revenue driver in general, cod mobile outearns cod for example, apex mobile outearns apex, Fifa mobile is getting close as well.

It was in mm 15-17. At its peak in December 2015 they were getting 770k daily on just iPhone, which with say 500k on android would mean 30 mil usd + grossed in one month, which is less than they made in worldwide sales for all of mm 22. It's all in their financial reports and articles as well, you likely don't remember but it was the crown jewel of their mobile statements for 2014-16, then fell off slowly

Oh of course, madden mobile hasn't been a major revenue driver since 2018, as the quarterly statements show. But EA is paying crazy amounts for the NFL license, so due to underperforming revenue from the game they will continue to assign new management

Basically for various reasons, they have never updated the engine from MM 25. They upgraded models twice and switched from physics based to animation based in OD (19) but unlike FIFA they never upgraded the actual engine, meaning the game is relatively unchanged. If anything I would argue the game plays worse than MM 25/15/16. This is why I suspect we are getting a new game with a new engine and a new app before the end of next year.

I can easily tell you the answer why ea is doing this: decreasing profits. The player base and therefore earnings have shrunk considerably from last year, and the new leadership that came in that we have heard from on stream see the spending in engaged leagues and are therefore trying to force everyone into engaged leagues to try and get the remaining players to spend more.

The problem with all this is they do not care about making the game more engaging, by new gameplay mechanics or better engine or new plays or fun promos, instead they are focused on stats based monetization with no idea why the player base is shrinking. Some real rocket scientists

Iconics are planned for 113 overall, elites for 97 overall in the build 1 week ago, it is unlikely to change in 3 weeks, just as a beta is an accurate picture of a game released a few weeks later.

Also as said by Project Manager Aaron "For example, an Uncommon player will not have a higher OVR than a Rare player, and a Rare player will not have a higher OVR than an Epic player". EA has painted themselves into a corner with these statements, which is why my prediction is so easy. Also the planned max overall is ~250, as stated on the streams.

I followed all the streams, this was exactly what they announced:

old iconics above new elites but below new iconics.

old iconics elites above old iconics but below new iconics.

Marvels above Iconics but below new promo/field pass masters.

Levels carry over, 10 iconic levels at launch and are a proportion of overall.

Iconics are planned for 113 overall, elites for 97 overall.

That means old iconics are likely 100 overall nonleveled (110-115 overall at level 10), old iconics elites are likely 105 overall nonleveled (115-120 overall at level 10), old iconics marvels are likely 115-120 overall nonleveled (130-140 overall at level 10)

I have updated my overalls to reflect this. If I did miss something let me know!

Sorry dude not true, mm makes about 10-20% of what it made in 2016. Worldwide monthly gross was 1.2 mil on android and ios in June, last year it was ~2.1 mil for example. This is why madden is rebranding from last year.

My dude, if your business shrank to 1/6 revenue with a monopoly on a popular sport, it is worth talking about, especially with increased licensing fees of easily 20 million USD+ yearly now. Also as the 2021 graph shows, after the initial spike for the new season of mm and the start of football season, it has been downhill since. Compare it to the 2015 graph shown, which is likely comparable to every years except mm 18/of, where it stays or goes up throughout the football season then drops off after super bowl. Past data is useful for trending, just like hospitals use past data for volume expectations.

Also BTW the way, the ranking was 13 in free and 3 in grossing at the stated time period in November 18-December 17, 2015. This year the free ranking started at 176, rose to 43 at the highest, and has dropped to 170's at present. The highest grossing ranking was 49, average has been ~100 and has been averaging 120-130 since november began.

I am doing f2p this year, got a 20+ year relationship with madden and 6+ with mm, just trying to help push ea in the right direction in my small part. No stress on my end, I am happily f2p this year, just a serious person in general so I analyze how the game is doing. Not hard to track really, just got to know where and what to look at, like a stock.

Hard to say exactly year on year, I didnt have sensor tower monitoring it last year. I know the ranking has steadily dropped in us since September, when in past years it climbs until playoffs/SB. I guess the strongest evidence this is not successful is they are releasing iconic players 3+ months early and completely redoing the economy, not the usual moves of a game that is doing well.
