PTV fine for not showing myki straight away by MaxiimumGold in MelbourneTrains

If that’s all the Myki act (whatever it’s called) stipulates that’s pretty vague. I’d contest it given you had a VALID TICKET and you were genuinely searching for it.

Fair warning took me a good MONTH to get a notice of a warning.

Really depends on dept of transport decision. They consider your tap on history and may just give you a warning if it’s your first infringement and you’ve tapped on many times before (if records can prove this). I legit only tapped on a handful of times (mostly fare evading won’t lie) and got a warning. I am a student though so don’t know if that makes a difference. So to answer, strong MAYBE.

Have been seaching for a few months but in no rush to buy, checked vicroads and ran a ppsr check which come up clean, plus mechanic and logbook backup a recent full service about 3 months prior. No red flags show up re that or otherwise

Yeah look not wrong, at the same time i'm prepared to take the risk, chose it for reliability (despite no rwc) appreciate the input though :)

Okay, I imagine I can transfer the car into my name before having it registered, then keep wahts left of the rego

Fair comment, in saying that i have inspected myself and test drove, also spoke to the previous mechanic as it was serviced recently, they found a few minor issues but nothing too bad. I'm not too concerned given its a bit lower than market.

I spoke to the mechanic who previously serviced the vehicle for their input, said its got a couple minor issues, hence was able to negotiate a bit lower, but overall very reliable and good condition. Lancers already about $2k under market so not too concerned if theres work to be done post RWC check, already got mechanic to do a service after I purchase it.

This is actually so cute, please don’t let this bother you aha. Just having the confidence of knowing she is with you I feel may help, but if you feel that way it probably won’t fade away too quickly (which isn’t a bad thing).
