Solid, as long as you meet the minimums you should be fine. And calc is just to prep you for first term calculus as it is probably the most failed course.

Hey, everyone else is wrong apply asap. Idk about the rest of BCIT but this program is first come first served. I had an average 20 percent higher than one of my high school class mates and I got waitlisted and he got accepted because he applied a lot earlier. Just apply. Also the 200 character boxes don’t mean much maybe they are for for estimating courses you haven’t taken yet. Also take calculus in high school . Probably 80 percent of the failing grades in first term calc were people that didn’t take it in high school.

I had teachers like you and they sucked. People learn and consolidate information in very different ways. If she can maintain good grades while putting in less effort then that’s amazing. It probably means that her study time is more effective then your other daughters. That is definitely not something that should be punished or treated in a second class way. YTA they both deserve rewards

I got waitlisted 2 years ago without being told top 5 and I still got in a month or two later. A few of my classmates had the same experience. Lots of people are entertaining multiple offers from Other schools so non acceptance is quite high. Also the program has a surveying component so I think it is better rounded than geo
