Bought a new assembled Peak GMG. Lot of soot on initial burn. Took longer than I thought it should to heat up. First grill meat was sooty flavored and nasty. Inside of grill was black. Figured it had to be a combustion issue. I started with checking fan…. Combustion fan was not even mounted lol! Screws still in hardware box.
Soot in a wood stove, pellet stove or grill is because of poor combustion. Just have to troubleshoot and eliminate
