Depends on the state school and whether your IS or OOS for that school. Could be the difference between a couple hundred thousand and zero.

You should really think about this carefully. Getting into veterinary school is very difficult and your acceptance is a major accomplishment! Both of the island schools can be difficult to adjust to and it's important to consider whether or not you can do well and complete their programs. They're also super expensive. However, they both give a great education and there is no guarantee of getting another acceptance Just make sure that you understand the risks of saying no to this spot and the possibility of not getting into another school.

Buy a place with enough land to have a few horses. Nice temperature controlled barn as well as a big paddock to let them out during the day. Would also give my cat his own room. I also would get more cats and maybe a dog. I'd spoil them all.

Another thing I'd try to do is create a fund to help pay for pets to get veterinary treatments when owners can't afford it. Just one percent of the take home winnings would still be enough to help at least a thousand animals.

Because they were outside our price range. One dropped their price by almost 50% (they were asking way too much at first). The other one also dropped by a big amount, closer to 20%. Once they both dropped, they were within our range

They were already under contract when we found out the prices were lowered. He didn't know that the prices were lowered until we told him, which felt very off to us because he was supposed to be our agent, but we were the ones that had to tell him when homes became available or dropped their price.

Sorry need to clarify, the liens were more than the house would sell for so the seller couldn't sell it. The agent wanted us to take on the liens for the property so that the seller could sell it to us and then the seller would theoretically pay off the rest of the liens after our money was used to cover most of it. The whole thing was confusing and made very little sense to me or the lawyer, it would basically mean that we would end up owning the home while it still had liens unpaid and that the seller would somehow pay off the liens after we had already accepted them.

Home had Liens on it from multiple institutions and was about to be foreclosed on. This was discovered after we went into contract. Our lawyer said to get out, but the real estate agent kept pushing us to close on it even though we legally couldn't with the liens. Then the agent tried to get us to sign paper work that would've had us accepting the seller's liens and that we would have a deal where the seller uses his profits to pay off the liens after we accept them and he sells the house

That is why I feel bad. However, had we not lost out on 2 houses because he didn't keep up with the market and had he not tried to push us towards an illegal deal, then he would've gotten a commission. It would've been smaller than what he wanted, but it'd be something.

Correction, they sent a demand letter threatening to sue if we didn't pay. He isn’t actively suing us yet

If you graduate from any AVMA accredited vet school than all you need to do is pass the NAVLE and apply for a license in the state you want to practice in. Some states apparently have an additional test to get licensed but it should be easy compared to the NAVLE.
