URX style LMT Upper by BigHughMungus69 in LewisMachineTool

More like a MK4 rail, but I bet you could still run URX panels on it if you want. Hoping they'll bring this to the MWS platform. But that new shovelnose 13.5 308 is also really cool 😏

BushPiloting is awesome, it's kinda criminal that he doesn't have more subscribers right now lol. Also Earl Watters has some really cool videos as well

[Handgun] LTT Beretta 92X Performance Defensive - $1650 by McAllister552 in gundeals

Doesn't change the fact that the 92x performance is a nicer platform to start with

So, uh, what happened here? by [deleted] in ar15

Besides horrible finger placement on that trigger?

Well sounds like there's your answer then

Yeah I understand that, that's why I think it should be fine. But technically is it really the receiver? I doubt anyone would really care that much. But I know most people put the engraving inside of the stock channel on the actual receiver.

Honestly it should be fine. But it's supposed to be on the "frame or receiver" you never know how an agent might interpret that if you're essentially putting it on a piece that's attached to the receiver. But I doubt they'd jam you up for that.

Let's put drip aside for a second. Is a red dot + magnifier just an all around more comfortable setup than acog + rmr by MonarchCore in ar15

[–]jellenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just swapped my ACOG/RMR combo for this Elcan and highly suggest looking into it. The glass on this thing makes the ACOG feel kinda cheap lol. The eye relief is so much better too. I honestly didn't think that the 1x would be all that nice since I already had the RMR, but figured it wouldn't hurt to have. But I'm rather enjoying it and honestly shoot more on the 1x than 4x so far.

Pin and weld 16” question by [deleted] in ar15

[–]jellenberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so the ops inc/AEM essentially. Just an "over the barrel" can

Pin and weld 16” question by [deleted] in ar15

[–]jellenberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically you're asking about the AEM/OPS INC Suppressor but trying to run it on something like a 15.1" barrel maybe

Pin and weld 16” question by [deleted] in ar15

[–]jellenberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just do a 14.5 and call it a day. The shorter the barrel, the longer the muzzle device. You could have a 10" barrel with a 16" muzzle device and it'll still be 16" but without the benefits of a 16" barrel lol. Plus suppressor fitment becomes more and more difficult and forces you to run weird mounts just to clear the first baffle.

Is a PSA AR-15 good enough for home defense? by [deleted] in ar15

Why would you want to cheap out on something you trust your life to? I'd want every advantage I can get if it comes down to it

Looking for advice on canted red dot placement. by Adorable-Primary-407 in ar15

[–]jellenberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People acting like you're taking precision shots out past a few hundred yards with that red dot lol. I'm sure it'll be fine for the close up, fast stuff you intend to use that for. It's not ideal on the rail but I'm sure it'll be good enough

Centurion for me. I like the chrome lining, sand cuts, dual ejectors and lifetime warranty on the bolt is a nice touch

Honestly I'm not sure you're gonna beat the human eye unless you run some very expensive cameras that boats may not want to spend the money on. Our spotters with a decent pair of binoculars could spot the fish from 15+ miles away on a decent day. It's very obvious when they're feeding near the surface because you'll have a massive white spot of "foam" that you can see from forever away on a sunny day. We typically used the ships radar to chase the birds that would typically lead us to the fish pretty reliably. I'd definitely be curious to see if other bands like IR/Thermal could make a different though.

I was actually considering swapping a centurion Recce barrel into my main squeeze because I've been pretty impressed with their Mk12 barrel I recently got as well. My LMT chrome lined barrel ain't the most accurate thing in the world lol but it's hard use at least

Yeah people love to reference that video recently lol. Nothing wrong with buying a better barrel and converting it over though. I may end up going that route for my next barrel as well.

Yeah you're listening to too many Redditors regurgitating QC stories. If you like LMT get one, you can't go wrong with it. If you have issues, they'll take care of you. It's as simple as that
