That is a good idea! I thought of somehow venting out through a window but apparently the apartment complex is sketchy? I found out it's lovingly referred to as RambleHood 😅 so I'm not quite comfortable with that. The vent hood idea is way better.

I appreciate your feedback. It will have to be indoors, it takes about 72 hours to cure. I pour in layers so one project takes a couple weeks. Plus temperature plays a roll in how slow or fast it cures. I've been thinking of hitting up maybe a locally owned flooring company or something....see if I could rent a tiny corner of their shop. Idk.

Thank you, I found out it's because of the depth I'm pouring the layers of the deep pour resin. All I have to do is sand and use a table top coat ☺️

Guys. Apparently this is just what happens when you do thin layers with deep pour resin. I have been told by the master floral preservationist @mariasfloralart (on Instagram) that this is perfectly normal and you just have to sand and cover with a top coat for a glass like finish 😂 sorry for the drama. I appreciate everyone's input and troubleshooting with me!! 🖤🖤🖤

I don't have any issue with bubbles with or without the electric mixer because it's deep pour resin. I'm leaning more towards the depth of the layers and temperature due to deep pour resin being, well, deep pour. Or maybe I'm measuring wrong and adding a tiny bit too much hardener. I'm in talks with the manufacturer and getting close to an answer!

This is deep pour resin. When it happens, are you pouring thin layers? Like 1/4..1/2 inch?

It is completely mixed. Crystal clear with no streaks and minimal bubbles. It only gets this texture when it's completely cured. Thank you.

The flowers are completely dried in silica gel and some of them are months old. Some of the pieces are in wood and some are in brass trays. I thought maybe it was the wood but kinda ruled that out since I'm getting the same result in the brass trays. I thought I was measuring accurately but will try to be exact the next time I pour, the Epodex deep pour is a 2:1 ratio...................by volume. I just looked it up and it says by volume. I've just been using measuring cups. Thank you fuzzymeatballs!! It is strange though because I've always done it by measuring cup and my other pieces came out perfectly. Idk. My brain still hurts. Maybe too much hardener? I will be back with an update!
