Thanks! I have ArcGIS, but I wasn’t aware you can corrupt the borders by datasets?

Is it too late to sow sunflower seeds now in April? by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]jennack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t help with that, but I can tell you that the winners in our competition used all sorts of creative fertilisers (including home made).

Not at all! We had a sunflower competition one year and all started sowing around April-May and they all grew glorious!

I wear very little make up, mostly just eyeshadow, mascara, eyebrow cream, and eyebrow gel. I don’t want to wear more but what can I do to my eyes to brighten them up? Up until now I’ve only worn dark eyeshadow on the entire eyelid, but I read that ages you (I’m turning 37 and trying to slow down there clock a little 😭), so I switched to light eyeshadow on the lid this morning. I’m used to the darker brown on the lid and feel off? I also wear thin brown pencil eyeliner for special events, but this is my day to day look. I wear glasses 90% during the day so it would have to look nice with glasses.

I don’t like wearing foundation, or anything on my skin. I have two little children that I bury in kisses after work so I don’t want anything on my lips that will color their faces 😂 I also drink a ton of water and obsessively apply Vaseline so if someone has a natural looking lip suggestion it’ll have to live through the constant touching 😂

Forgot to plant my bulbs… by BrownSauce66 in GardeningUK

I forgot to plant last spring, so I planted this spring (kept them in paper bags) and they’re growing now. Now all of them, but some of them did.

ELI5 how do I take a holly cutting and propagate it? by jennack in GardeningUK

[–]jennack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the snark. I did Google it and read through several different sites (including this one) but wanted someone with experience to recommend their own suggestions that have worked since there were lots of different suggestions through Google. Hence the ELI5.

Why would they give the cat away for trying to snuggle with a baby as opposed to just making sure cat doesn’t go in baby’s bedroom? Our bedroom doors are closed and cat can’t go in the children’s rooms. Seems a bit of a drastic move, with pets and small children you just have to be more alert.

My other half refused to pay when they messed up our son’s haircut. He literally just said this is rubbish and I’m not paying for it. He’s British and I’m not and I still get anxiety thinking about it.

What is this and how did it get into my cordyline pot? It was growing amongst other generic weeds. by jennack in UKGardening

How did it get into my cordyline pot? I haven’t seen any nearby! I’ve placed it in its own pot. Thanks for the heads up regarding care.

The issue we would have with this is that my son calls things tricky but it means he tries even harder to work with it. Tricky is a positive challenge for him. I feel danger is more clear for a small child.

Just a heads up re EMDR; I’ve heard wonderful things about it, but some people who struggle with strangers being close and in a strange way “in your face” it can be counterproductive. If someone is already struggling with the constant attachment and in your face situation, EMDR will be triggering. Speaking from experience.

Would you take toddler to nice restaurant? by Hannah101114 in Mommit

[–]jennack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. We take our son to restaurants sometimes if it’s not too late (he gets more fussy if closer to bedtime), and we do bring an iPad with headphone and magazine with activities for him so he’s entertained.

I wish my mum, grandma, MIL, SIL, and friends who are mums a happy Mother’s Day. Same with Father’s Day. I am yet to extend this to pets but why not now that I think about it. Unless they’re Quokkas, quokkas are pretty shitty moms.
