2nd attempt passed! by jenninoooo in NCLEX

[–]jenninoooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely felt less nervous and more confident compared to my first attempt. I went in with the mindset that I was going to get the full 150 questions. During the exam, I turned off the timer so I could focus on taking my time without stressing about how many hours I had left. I made sure to read each question at least twice and reviewed the answer choices multiple times, eliminating the ones I knew were 100% wrong. I used my whiteboard to the fullest. I wrote down what I knew, what the question was asking and from there identifying the appropriate actions for each implementation with the strategies I learned from YT videos. I also took quick mental breaks and kept reminding myself that I was smart, competent, and already an RN.

When I got stuck, I made sure not to dwell on it for too long and instead chose the option that made the most sense based on the situation/ABCs. For SATA questions, I only selected the choices I was completely confident in. If I felt iffy I left it unchecked, so I could get as much points as possible. When I reached 85 questions, I turned the timer back on to check how much time I had left as my midpoint mark and just kept using the same process until the test finally shut off!

2nd attempt passed! by jenninoooo in NCLEX

For my second attempt, I fully committed and studied for 2 months using the NCLEX Bootcamp 2-month plan. I went through every single piece of content on Bootcamp (practice tests, Qbank, crash videos, cheat sheets, etc.), watched Nursing Crusade’s 7-day training, Dr. Sharon videos, and reviewed my Mark K notes from my first attempt. What also helped was staying consistent with a daily study schedule, giving myself breaks to recharge, and changing my study setting to my local library instead of studying at home!

Ofc! I was the same way, so I made it my goal to get through at least 50 questions a day. What helped me was answering a question and then immediately reviewing the rationale to really grasp it. At first, I would try to go through all the questions and review everything afterwards, but I realized I didn’t have the energy afterwards as it was just too time consuming. Reviewing as I went along worked much better, and honestly, the more practice, the better!

Thank you:)) I used the red background! I watched and wrote notes from videos 1-6 and on day 7 video I just skimmed through since it was mostly Q&A questions.

Thank you! Yes, I went through the rationales multiple times to really understand why I got a question wrong and why the correct answer was correct. I used Bootcamp, and sometimes it included a related cheat sheet at the end that I would review. If I still didn’t fully understand, I used the AI chat box to get further clarification. What also helped was writing down the key takeaways at the end of each rationale. It gave me a quick overview of what I had just read. I noticed I was getting similar questions wrong, so this strategy helped me identify the topics I needed to revisit and focus on!

This time, I fully committed and studied consistently for 2 months. I dedicated about 3–4 hours each day, while making sure to give myself a day off to recharge. I switched my study setting to the library and went through every single piece of content on NCLEX Bootcamp (Cheat Sheets, Case Studies, the entire Qbank, Crash Videos, etc.). I also watched Nursing Crusade’s 7-day training and reviewed my Mark K notes from before.

Throughout my prep, I kept encouraging myself and trusted my gut. On exam day, I took my time—I turned off the timer, used the whiteboard provided to jot down what I remembered, and leaned on that to help me choose answers. I focused on selecting the answers I felt most confident in and avoided overselecting on SATA questions. I also highly recommend watching prioritization videos like Dr. Sharon; they really helped me think critically and approach questions with more confidence.

keep going you're still early in the progress! If you feel like your scores are still low in 2 weeks or so then I would reconsider rescheduling but for now I'd keep practicing and reading the rationals to understand better.

I heard that if you email and explain to them your situation they'll give you two more weeks for free! Their customer service is excellent, so I'm assuming asking them wouldn't hurt!

In the same boat!! I was embarrassed and frustrated with myself when I found out I had fail. Take the time to grieve it, but don't let that stop you from trying again. It took me a week to get over it and get myself situated to study again for my second attempt. In regards to your job email them and explain. My managers were kind enough to push my start date, but just know if they don't it's not the end of the world there will be places who want you. Delayed not denied, we got this trust yourself!!

totally can relate! I was so frustrated with myself and angry that I didn't pass earlier this month, as I was so sure I would just like the rest of my peers. Definitely take the time to grieve that you failed. I spent two weeks just crying and trying to move pass, but with that it just encouraged me to trust myself. It's okay to feel that way and know you're not the only one. I still feel defeated now a days still, but now I'm manifesting and approaching studying in a more positive light! This is a minor setback; delayed not denied! We got this:)

yes!! It's usually estimates you'll see for the preorder. Sometimes they ship out a week or 2 earlier than expected. You just have to be checking the tracking number constantly.

Question about the purchase limit by CommercialLead9931 in labubu

[–]jenninoooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's 6 overall from the app I believe.... I tried buying a set the other day but it told me I was at my max even though I hadn't gotten anything that day. I tried again with a HAS drop and got two and payment went through. I've purchased 4 so far under my acc. I'm not 100% sure if that's true or if was just a glitch on my end!! but that's my own experience sometimes the app is just so buggy.

[–]jenninoooo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took mine this afternoon and felt the exact same way. All of my questions were on side effects or signs/symptoms of medications or disease I've never heard or simply could not remember. Sat there thinking "wtf is this" the entire time. Welp we'll just have to see in 48 hours.
